his boards and consult stuff is all just DIY stuff calum posted years ago - just he assembles shit and sends it out. ATX plugs have been used with consult boards for longer than you've had a drivers license. I personally Hardwired that shit because it doesnt leave the car.

the ka ecu thing tho is gay - a KA ecu doesnt work in a sr... period

I WOULD LIEK TO CLEAR THINGS
First, I found the MOTOR BLEW BECUASE I DIDNT SWAP JUMPERS ON THE ECU
AND IT RAN STOCK MAP on 10PSI

Ill be Putting the Turbo back in a few weeks and ill be using JAsons Tune and ill Come back with the results
I Feel bad for that post, it was when i thought his tune sucked, but it was my mistake, not moving the Jumper. im gonna gave jason another honest try because the first time was my fualt

I Sent the ECU BACK to JASON AND HE MOved the Jumper for me and tESTED the ECU
for FREE!~

interested to see how everything works out for you importdude, thanks for posting back on here and letting everyone know that it wasnt the tune, most people wouldnt bother. I am looking to get an Emance tune for my SR, and since i am a socal local so Jason even said that if i wanted we could meet up at a dyno and do some fine tuning, I think this is a big plus. On alot of other forums all i hear is praise with the emance tunes and everyone always acknowledges Jason's great service and help. I think the only people who have said negative things are people on here, and at that alot of people who dont even have one of his tunes. hopefully Emance can get some good cred here on zilvia, like on the other forums.

its the one labeled cj1 and the other is cj2 - they're right by each other.

you have to move the surface mount jumper over... or just take it off the one and solder a lil peice of wire across the other.

they are on the bottom.

hey guys i bought a emance daughter board whose chips are tuned for a gt28r turbo up tp 15psi, z32 maf, 91 octane. Got it from a guy locally that he ended up not installing it on his ecu cause he went stand alone with a completely different setup. So it was brand new and only ran me $50 I think it was completely worth is especially since it is exaclty the tune i want anyhow and i can get a retuned set of chips for $50 from emance if i decide on any changes in the future. I have a while before i can review it since i am rebuilding my SR and its completely in pieces...

Well...
EMANCE IS JUNK.
He has horrible customer services as you can tell from Rocko story...
and I gave him a shot...in a pinch..and he failed HARD>..
he let someone solder a board and he said they "fucked it up" so I send it back...says it was a bad connection on a copper connector...he says he fixed it...get ecu again and runs worse...lol...but does spit out code 55...lol...

I have since been learing more about rim tuning...and if anyone wants a FREE tune LMK! I will sent you up in right direction...there's plenty of FREE tunes floating around and common enough that should work well for you....
he has a new story every time...I deal with turds like him all day...
Glad he fucked me over...made me learn more than I would have if he didnt...thanks asshole.

I'm sorry for anyone who's had problems but I'm happy to report that my coupe finally runs like a bear.

I ordered a daughterboard from Jason to install myself. I get the feeling rom tunes aren't Jason's main gig, and I know shit happens, (+ it's not hard to do and saves $30 or whatever) so I opted to do the install myself to make any potential physical problems of my own accord. Like I was expecting, the work done to the daughterboard didn't look like wave solder quality but it was more than good enough for an auto application.

He tuned for my 555cc Tomei's, Z32 maf, and GT2871R on 93 octane and it feels totally transparent in regards to drivability which is what I wanted the most, coming from an emanage setup.

I won't be able to make it to a dyno for a while so I don't know where I'm at for power or air/fuel but it pulls smooth and I don't sense anything is wrong.

well, I didn't say that.. and I'm really not about to try to pinpoint the problems that other people have had. All I know is my tune seems to be spot-on. I just wish I had a wideband to see for myself what's going on because I don't like to "take it easy"

That said, for $135 shipped for the tuned daughterboard I felt I had nothing to lose considering the install process is reversible.. and if it came down to it, it's a fair price to pay for a daughterboard w/ eprom's if you end up feeling that you should take it upon yourself to buy the rest of the tools and learn how to tune the car on your own. *Edit: by fair price, I mean that All things considered it's not going to break the bank.

flea-sized CJ jumper is fucking flea-sized though.. if you've never used a soldering iron before I might suggest spending the $40 to have Jason do everything for you, or find a friend or even take it to a hobby shop and ask them.. otherwise as long as you've got some .032" solder and a few inches of wick, the job is easy. you'd just better have yr vision script up to date for the jumper (which is actually a resistor, but its value is 000 which means it has no resistance which is why the wire trick works too).

yeah i got my tuned emance daughterboard for $50 and it was never used so i cant complain. hopefully it works as flawlessly as yours did neilsan. its tuned for 550cc injectors, gt28r turbo, and Z32 MAF... which is the setup i have planned so hopefully its all good.

i want to get a tune for my ka24e-t.
stock internals, bottom mount T3. (its the z31 T3, stock internal waste gate, manual boost controller, 14lbs)
2.5 downpipe and exhaust, just a flowmaster muff
walbro fuel pump, stock fuel pressure reg,
444cc RB injectors, injector resistor from a mitsubishi,

small to medium sized front mount intercooler,
blowthrough N60 mafs from vg30 maxima

im not looking for a 'safe' rich tune either. i want to squeeze power out of my ka. about 12:1 afr under boost?

the car uses only 93 pump gas

no emissions shiz on the intake, except for the idle air controller, with the 2 sensors and idle screw. oh and theres no A/c, unorthodox main pulley, possibly ditching power steering...

i have both an automatic ECU for the car and a manual ECU, i could send whichever one would be better. im currently running the auto ecu.

also have an afc neo to use as well if need be.

im not sure if sillyvia wants to try this for free, or the guy who this threads about... but whoever does it, i will post up a review for sure, to really get down to the troooof

i got a e-mance tune and my car ran good but it leaned out. and melted the piston. i know i got enough fuel, but i dont think his tunes are good for people making good hp numbers. i am currently going with the haltech standalone, and i am getting it tuned on a dyno. his tunes are good if you wanna get your car running with what you have, but if you are running high boost like 18-20 pounds then i woulden't recommened him.

anyone have a z32 maf hooked up with this ECU? on their SR20??

what in/out settings did u guys use?
