I have been skating for 10 years and when i started shit was magical, but now skateboarding seems corporate and straight up gay and not just the people wearing chick clothes it seems like you have to show up everybody when skating maybe its just like that out here in the Phoenix area?? not sure???

Is it just the parks? Any Park in a populated area has always been the 1 up thing. Canada is the worse, and has been since the mid 90's.
Skating has always been corporate, it just comes and goes.
Remember its centered out of SoCal, home of corporate trends, fake people, and anything cool being branded and marketed.

Plus Phoenix AZ has always been the diet CA of skateboarding. Lotta people come and go through there.

Sup fellas. Skater checking in. I started skating when I was like 12 but stopped for about 4 years... I'm 23 right now and Just getting back into it cause a few friends want me to skate with them, and prettymuch supply me with everything I need. Haha. I feel sooo nooby on my board right now but w.e I'm sure ill get my stuff back soon.

I just started skating again last week after not skating since January.

They had some decent guys always, but no better then anyone else.
And they always carried dudes that straight sucked like all companies.

I consider 80's to be old school, and the 90's to be back in the day.
prolly a few more years though, and the 90's will be refered to as "retarded baggy raver pants era", lol

I dont think Girl got really good till the 2000's or so.
They always had style, but never went very big.
Girl has always been good at marketing.
Anything over 4 stairs was out of the question for them.

Mouse was good, but Yeah Right is what made it big.

Infact, they were staying pretty small and technical when people were starting to get huge.

I remember when Grafitti tagging and skateboardign were hand in hand.
The Chocolate team was big into it. You could tell where they were after slam city jam in vancouver Canada by where they tagged, lol

Santa Anna skatepark is nice but it can get sketchy because of the area. As far as skating spots, that's all me and my friends do. Personally I haven't been to a park this year and they just go now to practice on the rails or ledges. The footage that I filmed at Santa Anna skatepark was from the first time some friends of mine and me went so we filmed and the other stuff is just from dumb little "montages" I use to make but right now it's strictly street skating because I'm working on a full length video I hope to finish for the end of the summer.
