@silviaks2nr
How close is the front of the rear LCA to the barrel of the wheel at your ride height? I'm having problems with 18x10+38's hitting the LCA at compression stroke[granted I only have about -0.5 camber ATM..]

Maybe 10mm or so? I can stick my index finger in there and it just slightly pinches. wheel is 18x11 +30, it's close enough that I don't know if a 17" of the same spec could clear.

I have been reading through this thread and have seen the range of setups. That said, I am still not completely sure about the setup I am thinking about.
Need to ask advice on wheel/tire selection for an S14. The wheels I have in mind only come in low offset which has me worried. Looking for a traction setup. Will be lowered, but not absurdly. Fender rolling necessary? Front 17x9 +10 225/45/17 Rear 18X9.5 +15 265/35/18 Thoughts and opinions are welcome. If I should ask in another thread, let me know, but this thread is the direction I want to take my car.

With those sizes and offsets you'll be either rolling/pulling and/or cambering.
9.5 with a mid 20's range offset would suite you better in the rear. 9's with a 20 offset in the front will let you take full advtantage of inboard clearance. I'm running 9's with 245's and could easily put 255's on the front wheels. I'm running 285's out back.

That was what I was afraid of. They do not presently offer anything in the mid 20's for offset since they are a new design.
Well lets just see how much I "have" to have this rim design. Thanks for the feedback.

I just bought a set of wheels in (4)17x9 +22 for my stock body s13 coupe with megan coils/ ruca. My front fenders are stock. But in the rear the inner lips were trimmed(removed). It was done professionally. So the cut is perfectly straight/smooth. It was cut precise enough to have been done by a machine or something. But I wouldn't mind a slight pull in the rear but I'm not sure if its possible now that the inner lips were previously trimmed. Ill have the fronts rolled though in the next couple of days. My plan was to run 255/40/17 sq. setup. And I'm not looking to run any ridiculous amounts of negative camber. Nor am I trying to follow that HELLAFLUSH trend. But I do need the car to look good. SO NO MONSTER TRUCKING..lol. So do you think any of this will be a problem?

Why 19s on an s-chassis? s13 or 14? 235 on a 9.5 and 265 on an 11 is not max tire at all!

Yeah, you would be better off in the wheel fitment or stretched tire thread...

This is probably not the place to ask, but I'll try. I have a set of wheels in 18x8.5/9.5 +10. What would I have to do to get a 235/40-18f and 275/35-18r?
Edit: this is on an s13 with lame Megan racing coils and stock fenders |

To get them? Order the tires.
On a more serious note the Front will need to be Rolled and Slightly pulled according to your static camber. Rear will need to also be Rolled with a pretty good pull and some camber to fit nicely.

275 on a +10 offset is not going to fit with just a roll unless you run a lot of camber which defeats the whole purpose... Get a higher offset if you actually care about doing it right.

I've been browsing through the thread since I'm looking change out the wheels and tires for my S14a. Not interested in the stretched look and would prefer not to roll fenders. If I go with 17x9 +25 in the front and rear, what's a good tire size that would keep the side wall stiff but not hit too hard on bumps. Setup will be for DD and HPDE. Currently running KWv3 suspension. I really appreciate the input. Thank you.

@Void....I would suggest 235/40 front and 255/40 rear. I am running 245/40 front on my 17x8.5 and it may just fit up front but it will take some work. If i had to buy again I would def go with 225/40 just to play it safe. 275 in the rear on a 17x9 is going to be real tight.

I'm still looking at wheels, so I suppose I could go 17x8 to play it safe? My two main concerns are clearing the KWv3's and not having to deal with fenders.

17x9.5 with a plus 25-30mm offset will get you room for 275's out back. A 9 with no more than 25 will allow room for 245's up front. You're rocking KWs anyway, so you can't slam your car like some guys like to. I'm running KWs as well and have 18x9's w/ 245's in the front and 18x10's w/ 285's out back, however I need a slight roll/pull in the rear. I posted a shot a page or two back of my rears.
