Question Will they fit?

Currently lookin to buy new wheels and was just wondering how the former of some 18x9 +32 would fit on the front and back of my stock body s14?
Or would +20 be better in the front or maybe even in the rear?
Somewhat, actually pretty big noob at offset and all that with wheels
First set of wheels I'm buying for my s14 actually
Thanks

Nismo LM GT2
Front - 17x8 - 245/40/17 Nitto Invo
Rear - 17x9 - 275/40/17 Mickey Thompson Street ET

Nothing fancy or over the top, but just enough to get the job done on a street tune which feels a little over 500 to the wheels from personal experience on 16lbs/93 pump gas running a little towards the rich side.

I have 15x10 5.5BS Weld Prostar on 275/60/15 Mickey Thompson OutlawX for when the numbers are turned up over 800 to the wheels.

Running 20mm spacers front to clear brakes and 5mm spacers rear.
Let me know what you all think.

I'd do +20 front and +32 rear. You should be able to do 255/35 front and rear or 275/35 rear if you want a lot of rubber on 9's.

@ITS....looks great man. Only thing I would do (just my opinion) is lower the front a tad if possible.

I have 17x8.5 front (224/45) and 17x9.5 rear (275/40 MT ET Streets). Now I have an idea of how it will look. I am thinking I might want to switch fronts back to a 245/40 seeing your setup. My fronts look small as hell compared to the rears. Havent mounted them so I dont have any pix.

Thank you, I appreciate it man. Not very many nowadays have respect towards the originality of the S chassis. You don't need to slam your car with wide and large wheels that are in the negative offset, stretch out the tires to hell, use knock off parts and aggressive kits for your "daily drifter," which probably won't qualify at a local event.

I like to keep things simple and OEM JDM/aftermarket manufacture.

Get the 245/40 fronts, they grip extremely well in high speeds, at least for me they do. It lifts weight off my shoulders knowing I have that extra grip on the road going over 100.

As for the height, I would rather not lower her anymore than she is now. I'm working on getting a lip, a complete splitter/underbody panel/diffusers setup to help improve aerodynamics at higher speeds, and possibly switching out to the 18x8.5 245/40 LMGT4's in the front with Weld's 275/60/15 in the rear.

With these Texas roads, I'll play it safe and keep her at a reasonable height until the Texas Mile and TX2K14.

Makes sense....didn't assume Texas roads were that bad. Here in NY that would surely be a proper ride height. Will def pick up some 245/40 fronts based off your suggestion....thanx

That's what this thread is about. Getting more rubber on the road and making it stick.

225/275 is a 50mm difference. Anything over 30mm you will feel and affect your cornering. I would definitely go with a 245 up front.

To be honest I wasn't too worried about cornering since I was planning on mostly tracking the car with an occasional street drive but since I sold my other project this will become somewhat of a daily project car.

What kind of power are you making for tires that wide?!
Why not just go smaller wheel with more sidewall for hook?

@Highwaystar, honestly I think 10J is overkill for fronts unless you have a widebody or overfenders. I have never gone anything passed 9.5J front, usually aroound 7.5-9 depending on the purpose of the tires/wheels, whether they are for daily driving around to break in, test the car on low/high boost, or track.

IMO you should stick with 8.5-9.5 and choose a tire from there, preferably 245/255 in the 40's. 245/40 is pretty beefy itself, although you could always go taller with 245/45.

Ive seen the setup on a zenki with widened front fenders and on a kouki but the question i was asking was what is it that gets in the way or what needs to be modified to run this setup.
i know its a decent setup and an aggressive fitment but i do plan on running the 255/40/17 hankook rs3's and i'll run camber in the front to fit them with the zenki front since it is narrower than the kouki front and i'll run minimal camber in the rear

the guy in this thread states he needed 13mm spacers in the front to clear coils thats a 17x10 +5 w/ 255/40/17 on stock kouki front

255/35/18 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's on 18x9 +20 fronts (probably going to switch to a 40 series tire) ~2.7* camber

275/35/18 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A's on 18x10 +18 rears ~3.6* camber

With a roll and slight pull there's no rubbing either while turning or squatting.

@Flick
That's a sexy coupe you have there! Raise her up in the rear about .4-.6 and soften the suspension a little more for better hooking! What psi do you run when you race?

@Rak
Not exactly sure because it's not my car, but I can ask my friend when I see him again.

@bnf
Looking good!

@newslidz
What engine combo did you go with? And what type of racing, track, street, roll? Not trying to dog on you, but I wouldn't stick XXR's on anything that is making more than 400 to the wheels. They're heavy...

Right now the coils are set to full soft. They are HKS Hypermax coilovers. which are pretty soft out of the box which is nice. I might try and raise it up a little more but we will see as of now it works. Right now the tire pressure is at 25 psi. Seems to hook good from a small roll. Haven't tracked it yet, I'm sure i'll lower it down another 5-7psi at the track.
