Sr20 Rebuild

So my sr20 is quickly getting out of hand. Original plan was just a stock motor with a tune. I found a used sr20 s13 with built head with all Brian crower components, garret 2871 turbo and a Megan manifold. I bought the motor at night in the dark and didn't realize how bad of shape it was actually in, the previous builder didn't use a single gasket anywhere, all silicone and too much of it as well. The more I tore down the motor the more I found wrong with it, pieces of silicone have gone thru every bearing in the motor and oil passage. I went deeper yesterday and pulled the pistons out and 2 pistons are toast, shitty oil, poor gas and lack of maintenance. The cylinder is fine tho and is getting honed.

So now that I'm going to be doing pistons and rods and set myself up to handle more boost in the future, I'm looking for some advice. I have been eyeing up the Brian crower pistons in 9:1.

So far the motor is going to have
Garret 2871
Megan manifold
Bc head with 264 cams
Freddy intake manifold
740cc nismo injectors
Megasquirt PnP Ecu with boost control
Racepak Iq3 display
Mishimoto oil cooler
Light weight flywheel and 6 puck clutch

Oh and it's going in a 76 Datsun 620.
Also located in Alberta, Canada.

It didn't paste the full post I wanted sorry. Looking for advice on pistons and rods and how much boost etc it can handle, or even what other people are running.
Also any good shops that are worth taking it to.

stock pistons/rods will handle 2871r power.
I would just look at what deals on rods/pistons are floating around.
CP pistons/rods 9.1 are what are in my engine.

ive heard that BC stuff is not that great.

lol sounds like what happened to me with my motor! I used CP pistons with manley rods...overbuild as the 740s will put you over what stock can handle if you do a full tune...

What compression ratio did you go with? Also how much boost were you able to run?
