Umm....there is nobody that can get that lip and offer it to you for lower than $500....and that's not factoring in shipping.

Japan yahoo auction, good luck on that bud...even in Japan it's extremely hard to find. Price usually go up to 25000~30000yen used but here probably $400.

Wait i read a while back that the optional Kouki lip isnt really a lip at all. Instead its actually a whole different bumper. Is that true??? But yah if you have the stock one, id suggest the C-west lip. Is the greddy/thrust one fiberglass or polyurethane??? If it is, id rather rock that cuz itll take a whole lot of abuse.

A keepsake from my brother...
My brother mentioned this board a couple of months ago before he got incarcerated ... long story, dont bother asking... anyway, before he left he passed on his '98 240sx and told me to continue and finish his project, tole me about this website and I've been reading through the archives of threads on this forum learning more about the car. I did have prior knowledge since i myself had a '91 fastback. this thread confirms what my brother claimed about his JDM kit to be really valuable ( I always told him about getting a Vertex before doing the OEM kit a year ago)... here it is at is present state...

Supra Hunter, was your bro the one selling the JDM items a long time ago? I remember that sn was selling jdm sideskirts, etc.
anyway, to post pics such as the first one, use an image host such as cardomain or photobucket. |

Speaking of Kouki lips, anyone know a place to get a 180SX Kouki lip for less than the listed $400 at phase2? I'm sure after shipping and tax it'll be $500. Then add painting costs...

I believe they mount to the bumper. There are also black frames which also attach to the bumper to give it the hotness look.
You could probably mount it to an aftermarket bumper with some drilling, provided your bumper has suitably sized openings in front. It should fit with a front mount, because don't JDM bumpers and bumper supports come with a cutout for front mou nts? That would seem to indicate Nissan Japan anticipated people putting IC's in front. One potential problem is that the wiring and mounting brackets might hog space for IC piping, depending how convoluted yo ur setup is. This is conjecture, I haven't compared it to any ICs as my car is NA. |
