Just got mine done by Able Sandblasting and Powder Coating in El Cajon, CA.
It's called Prismatic Gold. Planning on sanding down the letters to bare metal.

Fixin to drop my z32 front and rear calipers off at the powder coaters next week. Plan staying low key with a matte or wrinkle black with polished lettering. Had a quick question though. Are you guys taping the lettering and bolt holes off prior to dropping them off for coating? I know powdercoating can be a bitch to get off so was wondering how you guys were going about getting the lettering polished? Let me know.
Thanx, Cameron |

to the guys that send in the calipers intact to get powder coated, after removing the seals and pistons do you guys cover the holes that the pistons go into to prevent powder coating from getting inside or do you guys just leave it be?

Can you guys recommend shops I can ship mine to get powder coated?
Would the zilvia mods be against this? Reason I'm asking is that there's no one in my area that will do it for less than $500 and I think that's kind of steep. I'm looking for a shop that would do it for less than $250 I'm in Hawaii so a shop on the West Coast would be nice. |
