i cant believe there is all this talk about a stupid factory front lip.
its just a lip, that happens to be more expensive than the bumper. even worse, the plastic studs break off when new, i cant imagine buying a used one because theyre probably all broken off and loose fitting. i love my lip, i bought it new. i think it looks very good. i think the discussion ends there. now this thread has turned into posting pics of different lips... aftermarket lips... shitty fiberglass replica lips. its embarrassing. |

You don't have the correct bracket iirc.
I'm waiting on Ray to bring some more in to have it on my other Kouki bumper. Without the correct bracket, your bumper sags a few mm. |

Sure.
It's posted on www.thenismoshop.com The Nismo Shop : West Covina Nissan : Nissan JDM 180sx Front Bumper Retainer My kouki front with retainer. Mine isn't properly fitted either. Pretty much just threw it on, hand tightened two bolts on top to hold it in place, and made everything else hold itself in place. Brian's front without retainer. |

its the reason why a lot of aftermarket bumpers don't fit for shit where the hood meets the bumper. A lot of people leave off the stock support pieces that go up front. Its the same with S15 conversions and part of why a lot look like shit.

Some of the holes don't line up exactly but enough do to get it to sit properly. I just took all the peices off my pignose and swapped it over to the kouki bumper.

I have that Japanese bracket guy.
You know those 2 little "bracckets" kinda in front of the radiator that you bolt the bumper to? It is 2 bolts on each bracket up top? Right in front of the rad support... Mine are old and the metal is ripping apart, so that's why it sags. Trust me. I attempted to figure it out with a ziptie solution, but it didn't work. I gave up. If somebody wants to come and fix everything for me, please do. I have no desire to do it myself. lol

He's Got something in there - You can see the 3 little flaps that sandwichs the Retainer to the Bumper.
I think he just needs to Install or Tighten the Bolts on The fender, thats under the Sharp Points of where it meets the Bumper.Hardest Spot to get to on that Fucking Thing! I Modified my V/S Bumper to use that Center Support but it still sags a tad...though once the Zip tie Plan gets full effect soon - It'll be Butta or, good enough for a Racer! You can see my Center support kinda: I just need my bumper Tightened up a tiny bit more so I can Clear my Takata Ramps.Makes Jacking it up MUCH eaiser. I swear I wanna design a New Jack: Basically taking like,a Kevlar Bag (size of like a Deflated Speed Bump type deal) and be able to Slide it under the car/frame rails so it Clears the AERO/Sideskirts w/o removing them and use a Compressor to Blow the Bag up.TADA!! "Bodyjack" gets it off the ground enough to get a DECENT Floor jack other than the Ghetto Nissan jack 1st.
