Haha!!Yeah, you know it's a crazy idea, but I'll take any comments. Not necessary would it have to be an exact copy of the car,but more of a sinister look(it does get lots of paint jobs in the flick),but maybe the 95 on the door or something,a key element to the look.I think,to get it just right, I will need a kouki front;though I don't plan on getting that anytime soon.

I work with kids and I make a "Cars" puzzle with them every Sunday. No way it's based off an S-Chassis. It's an American Movie, made before Drifting really took off. No way in hell is it an S-Chassis.
Plus driving around as a child movie character would make you look like some kind of a rapist/creeper. |

In no way does McQueen look like an S chassis. Why are we even having this conversation? Buy a cavalier and paint it. Did you hoinestly think you could post this on Zilvia and get any other kind of response?

Don't feel bad for them, they're in good hands.the Z has like 103,000 miles...not bad for a 23 year old car.The S used to be auto and was converted to manual.

@ bmhossasin;I can't ever own a Cavalier again.I have own one and they are a piece of shit.I have own a Dodge 600 old lady car,Chrysler Cordova from Avril Lavigne one of first videos, first car I tought myself how to ride a manual transmission was a toyota tercel(cuz I had to get it home).I also had a crx I got for free and then sold...that was a bitch.
And the thread...I trip out when I think about how Japan has had like a 20 yr jump in time...I know it can't be,but I look at things like 4 cylinder nissans that if they are turbo'd or not they aren't going anywhere. I look at the CRX and that car gets the same milage as any prius or versa or saturn but is an old car,and it has probably seen lots of track time with very little issues.Fiesta just now made its debut, and don't get me wrong I love the new Mustang v6...but that's just the thing;I love the v6 because I feel the 2011 is the most bang for you're buck, and maybe 67 is one of my favorites;I am not a fan of v8,though to be fair the only V8 I have driven is a Mach 1 ford mustang (like 02 two or sumtin') and a tahoe was probably some good times that I have had. Japanese automotive companies have always givin you the best bang for your buck.Of course their is bmw and mercedez, but I feel you have to pay for the euro luxury.I am not about luxury.I don't like chrome on my ride, and of course you have to support the American market to an extent, but I feel like the Japanese Market is censored because they thrive, and they thrive in almost every aspect. |

If you have ever seen the second half of the movie then you'd know that the car is based off of a corvette in my opinion hence the classic corvette/ new c vette paint job.
And by the way cars is a badass movie no matter what age you are. Just dont get carried away with like......oh I dont know....making your non corvette look like it.

Remember the Toyota recall?Something about brakes not working properly,in the end it turned out to be just the bad drivers that got in accidents.I am not tall, I am 5'6.I don't come from a big family so big cars for me just make me feel smaller.Hahaha!Laugh all you want.I can understand when a huge ass dude(or just a fat ass person) 6'2 or bigger gets a Big ass Yukon or Denali, but not a little midget lady feeling she is the king of the road when she is on the road, when a miata would have just made her a better driver.I am saying that we should be able to buy anything we want, without the media telling us what we should choose from.Europe has a shit load of fuel efficient cars why don't they ship some of them over here? Are we waiting for the turbo inline four version of the Stang? They can call it pony.

Reading the OP's first post i thought he was gonna be something like 15 or 16. then i see he's almost 30 wanting to replicate a car from a kids movie because he thinks its based off a japanese chassis.
as it was said before you can obviously tell that lightning mcqueen was based off a nascar platform. you are thinking way too hard about this to think they based him off a silvia. just coincidence bro. smh |

What ever it was;it wasn't a big deal, but it was 'big"news.Like hey don't buy any Toyotas cuz you'll crash and burn.
@camaro379ss-You believe it is a vette just because of a paint job;that's the reason it reminds me of my silvia, because it is red.I am going with the theme of the movie...he learns to drift, has a lightning for a logo which reminds me of the silvia emblem.Look at the headlights those don't look like any stang or vette I ever seen. |
