What service are we talking about? Would it not be best to speak to the vendor that you're using their services?

I would "guess" you can keep the money on hand to place more bids on other items, order something else and use the balance, or get the money back.

Regardless I'd speak to them...

So before you can place a bid with Jesse Streeter's self bidding service, you need to add "credits" to your account. This is effectively PayPaling Jesse money that goes into your account with his site.

When you place a bid on an auction and do not win, it takes about 30 minutes for your funds to be unfrozen in Jesse's system. I was bidding on a pair of wheels that ended and I lost on, then tried to bid on another pair the seller had listed that ended in 7 minutes, but was unable to as my funds were still locked from the previous bid I had placed (even though I had already lost.)

So, after 30 minutes the funds are available again to bid on other auctions. At that time you can either keep your funds in his system or request a refund, in which case the money is refunded to your PayPal account.

It's really a pretty trick system and works well. It's going to change the game a little bit here in the states I think as it makes it easier to convince yourself you need something and up your bid on the fly- or to try to snipe auctions that are ending.

Lost an auction on some vsxx by like $10. So irritated right now. They rarely come up and it's twice already they have slid out of my hands. . Third time I won't tho.

What size VSXXs are you looking for? They're pretty common on YAJ, there's a pair of 18's, a pair of 17's and a set of 17's up right now. Usually there are more too. All are pretty weak sizing but cheap enough to rebuild.

If you bid with credits on Jesse's site and win, do you then receive a request for additional credits to cover shipping/fees? I forget.

Yep, he'd send you an invoice notification via email for the remaining amount. I'm pretty sure he can use any additional credits not used in bidding to cover the remainder and then he'd send a separate invoice for anything left over.

But, unfortunately Jesse ended the self-service bidding beta so now everything is back to the way it was, where you email him directly for auctions/invoices.
