KA S13 dist wont fit in S14 head.

Hi everyone I'm just wrapping up my engine rebuild. Finally got it all back together.

Anyway the block is a '93 and the head is a '95. I have everything all bolted up just down to the distributor now (s13).
The problem I'm having is it seems as if my distributor is bottoming out or something. I know people have done plenty of these swaps and I have never read anything about this. It only reaches to about a mm before the o-ring on the distributor.

When I initially put it in the timing marks are lined up. Now if I turn it then take it out the marks no longer match. So I'm guessing the gear is making contact with the cam gear. Any idea on what is going on?

Btw I'm using a cometic headgasket if it makes any difference.

Thanks.

Nvm everyone. I figured it out.
Since I got the head resurfaced its a tad but lower than the upper timing chain cover. So I need to get it milled down to match.
