I am on that thin line between "objective" and "subjective," so I will close this off now, since there is already a thread sticky in this very section, containing information sought in this thread.

Thank you! I for one am enjoying this thread so far. I was actually going to pm Phlip about it. +1 for you guys for being opened minded.

Just to clarify, that isnt my car, although I know the guy who owned it at the time..

Wheel specs, not really sure other then they are 17x10 mas italy wheels made for a stang.. So offsets probably in the +20 to +30 range.

And the fender was rolled.

IIRC they're +27 with 305s, not 315s.

flares make anything possible. if Prok0 ran flares he could fit 355s or something obnoxious. it's impressive because it's on a virtually stock body.

Looks like just a roll with slight flaring... I bet this gives alot of S14 owners some hope. Imagine if you will, 285/30/18s and 315/30/18s. WOW. Not too many cars put down that kind of rubber. Your drag car should have a license plate that reads "MAGNUMS" and then on the frame have it say PORNOGRAPHICALLY HUGE RUBBERS.

Those 315's on a stock fender is nuts.

I was just about to try and fit something at least 295 all around on the evo but now that 315 tire has me thinking.

Someone needs to post up Sasha's setup, here goes. His racecar was 18x9.5 RPF1 front with 275/35/18 RA1 and 18x10.5 rear with 305/35/18. Not sure on offsets, check ziptied if you really want to know. Worked well for his endurance racing purposes. I'm assuming since he recently parted the car out and was selling lots of damaged body parts that it got crashed.

Full Race/Brady time attack S14: 17x9 +17 MB Weapons, 275/40/17 slicks all around

My car: 17x9 +17 MB Weapons, 245/40/17 Kumho MX all around, rolled fenders, car a little bit too low for my tastes so I have some rubbing up front at full lock. I want something like Sasha's setup next with some used R comps. I got this current setup because it was cheap and a sure thing as far as fitment goes.

Ok sorry to resurrect an OLD post, but anyone have info on the rear overfender size or make? Thanks!

285's on a LM GT4? I hope you have a 10" wide LM GT4 because I have them too and I'm running 9.5" back (common size) and 275 is the biggest you can safely go.

Whatever, I meant at least a 10" wide. I do not remember the exact widths they come in, but the most common are 8.5 front and 9.5 rear. And upon further investigation a 285 MIGHT fit depending on the tire, but it'd be a little too big to fit on the rim if it was me.

We've done a 285 on a 9.5j wheel before at work. It's very possible.

Finally!!!!!! A thread where I don't have to explain why I didn't buy a 10" wide wheel with +0 offset and a frigging 225 tire stretched around it

First setup:

Wheels: WedsSports TC-005's 18x8.5 +32 18x10 +43
Tires: 245/35 and 275/30
Suspension: Cusco Coilovers
Power: 400whp
Daily driven with some track
Rolled fenders front and rear

I was wondering what brand tires this car is running because i cant seem to find a 275/30/18 anywhere. looking to do 275/30/18 rear and 245/35/17 up front on a s13.

New setup:

Wheels: Work Meister S1 2P's 18x8 +32 A-disk(for the big brakes) 18x9.5 +44 O-disk
Tires: 235/40 and 265/35

Can anyone suggest some high offset 17 x 9-10's that are cheap (like <$200 per wheel) for the rear of my S13? I love the way Broadfields car sits on these wide arse high dollar wheels, love it. I think I need around his offset to keep it looking stock and not all poked and tucked, so I'd say 40mm + on the offset.

thanks,
Fred

You can definitely go bigger than 275 on a 18x9.5" wheel. Stock class autocrossers with RX8s and Solstices with 18x8" wheels run 285/30 all the time. Most 285/30s are rated for use on a 9.5" wheel. It might not have the best contact patch on a wheel that's on the narrow side of its rated range, but it will fit on there and be safe.
