Where did everyone go?? Hah
Once again another day of working on the head
Started porting but wanted to first port patch my adapter to th 20 head then taper the port.

I then simply took the adapter and placed it on the ports and scribed a line on which I had colored the port with a black sharpie.

Go ahead and troll ;p

Doing werk!

I'm using a straight angle grinder with a very "v" shaped aluminum carbide cutter.

Getting there...

Unfortunately I was unable to tackle the exhaust ports this is how off they are..... Gotta love production engines.
So I am leaving a mild cut on the intake ports and not polishing them to aid in fuel atomization and the exhaust ports will be cut and polished to aid in exhaust scavaging.

(and on a side note I awoke in hopes of getting flamed on here.. I was shocked no hate mail so... Flame on bitches) troll face.

Hey man I really appreciate it! I'm contiplating it eventually as no one produces them. I love looking at the Aussie forums for motivation! You guys have some really nasty RBs over there!! And the rb30s are a great platform for rb26 heads!

Check out a lot of the Aussie forums, you would be supprised at what they do to them!
Alot of people hate rb20s I find that benifiticial, as they are cheap. Everyone will hate what they dont personally run. And more power to them IDGASF, Im trying to be different and shed light on the underdog. I personally think SRs are "me too engines", O you have a sr?, me too... As dose half the world. Anyway I'll try to do a update later tonight should i accomplish anything.

keep up the work man.

I'm excited to see how it turns out.

and on the welds, you'll get better dont worry everyone has to start somewhere.

There are so many things I would have gone back and done differently the 2nd time on my RB20 build but hey that is because I didn't know the 1st time around and was learning.

On the welds yes I know they suck I'm working with a harbor freight flux welder ... It sucks simply put, and I actually hold certificates for mig, tig, and gas welding, now if I had my syncrowave from school I could def turn out some killer pices but hey trying to ball on a budget (broke ass college student)

Thanks for the positive feedback bro!

While you're putting in a good effort, there are a couple of things that I'd like to point out that maybe you didn't know.

By making those front bars two piece and welded, you have effectively defeated the purpose of them. In a crash they are almost guaranteed to sheer at the heat effected metal right next to the weld.

You might also want to consider knife-edging the divider on the exhaust housing of your HX30. An open scroll manifold with a twin-scroll turbo is a recipe for slow response.

Lastly a good camera would make this thread a lot better.

Keep it up though!

Building the radiator support

Got it in

Finished and primered my ac delete

Lower cross bar

1st coat of paint on

painting the intake manifold

Really pleased with how it turned out with rattle cans

Picked up a new GP G-sonic bumper

Also picked up this carbon fiber hatch which the previous owner had installed oem glass in. Was a pain in the ass removing the window weld but I finally succeeded using a guitar string to saw through it. I will be sanding, clear coating it, and installing a lexan window.

Ready for the lexan

I'm trying to understand your colour choices on that motor. You think it's going to work when it's all together, but I know it will still be ugly as fuck.
