Alright, I looked through the thread and saw plenty of suggestions for 17x9 +25 for stock S14 fenders. a lot of the people were saying 245/45r17 and 255/40/r17 MAY fit with no fender mod. I did not see any confirmation that they DO fit.

So the question is, 17x9+25 with 255/40r17, will fender modification be required?

Car is a S14 lowered on Fortune Auto 500, probably 2-3 inches below stock. No rubbing from 17x8 with 225/45/r17. How are we looking for the bigger tires? And if I did want to go with 18s, would 18x9.5 with 255/35r18 be too big?

All depends on the spoke design, but I have 2 different sets of 17x9 +20 that clear. Many people clear RPF1's in the size you listed as well.

Alright dudes, looking for some help. I'm not a total newbie but I'd like to step my fitment game up. Here's what I'm working with-

Advan Model V's, 17x9+35 front and 18x9+25 rear. Both are wearing 225/45 rubber. I have about 10-15mm of spacer up front to clear R33 Brakes (PBM adjustable spacer)

I have rolled the front and pulled the rear a bit for clearance, and hammered the inner fender in the rear somewhat. I still rub a bit on hard cornering. I have all the adjustable arms front and rear except for LCA's. I have Whiteline adjustable sway bars and Fortune Auto Coilovers (7k front and 5k rear). Currently I have about 3+1/4 inches of clearance from frame rail to ground in the front, and 3+3/4 clearance from frame rail to ground in the rear. I can't go too much lower.

This is a street car, not a track car. I would prefer very little camber in the rear, but I am okay with a little in the front. I want to get the wheels as close to the fender as possible without rubbing, but I want to maintain function on the street.

What can I do to improve?

I would get wider tires, should be able to fit 245 or 255 easily.

Or if you want to keep the 225s, use those adjustable spacers to figure out exactly how much spacing you need in the rear.

I'd say the front fitment is pretty good, you can either leave it as-is or go with wider tires and add camber.

So either way, I need more clearance, cuz I'm rubbing now. Camber could fix that, but it'll look worse. So how can I get more clearance front and rear? Just look where it's rubbing and BFH? Or are there secrets I don't know?

^^ That would drop me about 1/2 an inch, but I guess I can live with that. It will also give me 1/2 an inch more space between tire and fender, which is good for rubbing but bad for looks.

This might be a shot in the dark but does anyone know who's car this is? I found a picture of it on instagram, its a s15 it clearly has a set of sr04 esr wheels on it! I wanted to inquire as to what offset / sizing this is. I have looked through this entire thread, no other pictures of this car around

^^ His name is Chris Lacey and his instagram is @chrislacey_. Those wheels are ESR reps of Work Equips. They are 18x9.5 and 10.5 with 225/40 and 235/40 tires sizes respectively.

Does anybody know if these 17" 350z wheels will fit an S14 with the 4 pot CTS-V calipers? I'd be even more interested to know if the 6 pot CTS-V brakes will fit behind those 17" 350z wheels with or without a spacer.

I also heard that the 6 pots will fit behind just about any 18" wheel I so was looking at these 18x9 +30mm 10th anniversary SVT wheels if they would fit and the 350z's wouldn't but thats only if I end up becoming dead set on the 6 pots.

Thanks
Dan

Total newbie here. Looking to get a Z32 rear brake set up with wilwood BBK fronts. Whats the most aggressive setup I can possibly get without having to roll/pull my fenders too much or add a lot of camber. Trying to go wide since I'm going to do an LS3 swap soon but covering suspension and brakes first before I go on with the swap.

Question for the experts

18x10.5 +15, on a stock body how far does it poke out. Looking a 65mm overs (only comes in that size) and wonder how bad it'll look.

Youll prob have some really shitty looking fitment. I wouldnt go more than 30-40mm depending on how you want the car to sit how low youre going tire sz etc

I actually just got off the phone with a buddy of mine, he was telling me I'd have to run a big bolt on spacer if I want the wheel to become flush with the quarters; and reason being that wide of a quarter is, it only comes in that size sadly.

How much of a drop are the lowering springs? Are you doing anyother suspension mods? What sz tire?

The tires are 235/40 r18 and I plan to install coilovers in the near future.

This is my old pic with my old set of Gram Lights 1895 +12 all around. I run Tein coils with camber plates. All stock body. Front tires 225/40, rear 235/40

I am about to pull the trigger on buying four 350z 17x8 seven spoke wheels for my s14. I want 4 of the same size wheels and tires (square stance) because I have plans on taking it to Thunder Hill for on track instruction.

Does this sound like I will run into any problems running the wider 17x8 350z wheels up front with 235/40/17 all around?

Will I need spacers or a different size tire to get the best performance from it?

Thanks

Dan

If youre not lowering your car anything more than 2in you should be fine maybe a small spacer for clearance purposes. Also i dont know if youve upgraded to a bbk but if you have you might run into clearance problems depending how big of a kit you have. Other than that it looks like a good track set up just get some |quality| Tires and start shredding!

The previous owner had it slammed (CX Racing coilovers) on the 16" SE wheels with a small wheel spacer spacer up front. I 'm planning on having a race shop corner balance and align my car for the track. I'm guessing that they will adjust the ride height as well.

As for BBK I've seen a Z32 calipers fit these wheels up front and possibly even the 4 pot CTS-V calipers which I'd like to get.

Do you have adjustable arms? If so it shouldn't be a problem.
