Ok everyone, so here's what happened. I have a 245/40/18 on an 18x11. Hasn't given me any trouble over the year + that I've had them mounted. I go out Monday night, checked my PSI and all tires were around 40-42 psi. Everything was fine. I wake up the next morning and the tire bead unseated on the front of the wheel. I was like wtf?? Took it to a tire shop today and had a buddy refill it with air and the tire beaded right back up. Checked for leaks, none.

So, has this happened to anyone else before? Should I up the psi a little more to make sure it doesn't happen again?

Haha you know what? As crazy as that sounds, it may have happened. I have those silly Fatlace dice valve stem caps and the little o-rings in there fall out and maybe it got seated incorrectly when I tightened it down putting enough pressure on the valve stem to slowly leak out air.

I didn't even think of that.

Is a 205/55 on a 10.5" wide wheel doable, without exposed barrel and such?

245/35 id say is possibly with the right tyre. But 255/35 or 265/35 would be fairly easy to do.

Hmm ive flipped all my ss595s before with no problems... maybe your tire shop is ripping the bead?

Here are my 265/35 on a 12.5 wheel.

Keep in mind that those are Federals which run quite wide.

If I hear a 215 is an extreme stretch on a 9.5 again, I'm going to explode.

Wish we had some tire stretching experts here in AZ. I can't find anyone to stretch a 245/35 on an 11.5 & 225/35 on an 10.5...had to go with a 235 on the 10.5 and 255 on the 11.5

it seems like the sidewalls dont want to flexxxx.
there has been a 255/35 feds on 12.5 vsxx but they have diff style drop centers.

any tips to get the sidewalls to flex a bit more. i also tried the starter fluid/fire trick. idk if im doing it right or using enough but it ends up as a bail of fire and no air explosion/pop.

btw i have went to 5 tire shops and all of em are pussies either turning it down, or can't do it. They have used a cheetah-5, cheetah-10.

idk i want to get this stretch so badly lol

I almost had it to bead on the inner barrel side, I think im not using enough starter fluid lol if I cant get it to work ill get some 265/35s.. which would be better to stretch 265 Achilles or 265 federals
