Question Help me with 200sx before track day

swapped my sti wrx for a 94 silvia 200sx and only having problems with it. I have my 1st track day in a week.

1st problem is that it now idles at 2500rpm when warm and some times drops and picks back up.

2nd is my oil pressure gauge warning light comes on and says there is low oil. Im guessing this is just electrical because my temp gauge doesn't work anymore.

3rd is that it feels like it's missing under full load in 5th. pulls hard in 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th but 5th feels like shit? please help me as i'm not very mechanicaly minded.........

i'm curious to know why you would trade your car for another car that isn't running right

For your idle problem, I would check the IACV (perhaps clean it or replace it if its bad), timing, MAF (clean), check for vacuum leaks, etc

Replace your temp gauge sensor

And what do you mean by missing under load?

Its Oil pressure not oil level. either the sensor is bad or your oil pump is failing.

Better get that checked out before its too late. But usually when that light comes on (if properly working) its too late damage is being done to the bearings due to low oil pressure
