Disconnect the power cable to the engine (starter), diagnose where the problem is, and then reconnect the engine...
I suspect you just grounded something you shouldn't have... Check the fuses, especially the main fuse... |

You fucked up rebuilding your motor. You said earlier it took you, a friend, and a breaker bar to spin your crank. The starter can't spin that. Way to go.

i had to break it free...it started spinning freely after that...just like how nikeboy said...and what the fuck does that have to do with the starter and interior not getting power?

Ehhh...?? Did you hook up the batter cables backwards?
Test the voltage off the stater + wire, and ground the other lead of the multimeter to the Intake Manifold. If you are not getting full battery voltage, you have bad grounds.

And if you would pay attention, I said the starter wouldn't be able to turn a crank that was that hard to turn. Confusing, I know. Tyler |

now you have the box in the engine bay - and then all your relays and then check for toasted wires! It will take you alot longer than 1 hr to do this!

not necessarily, I haven't had this problem on a nissan, but had it on an acura a few years ago. Basically the ECU wasn't grounded and ended up burning up the main relay somehow, may not have been connected at all, but they were both present. Do you have anyone nearby who has soldering tools? I would get a magnifying glass and start checking relay connections and/or burnt wiring.

The clutch slave has absolutely nothing to do with the car starting. If the clicking you are hearing is the starter solenoid, you either don't have battery power to the starter, your engine ground is not good, or the battery is low. The start circuit is very simple, it should be easy to trace why it won't start. Use a DVOM to check the start signal on the solenoid - it should have 12v when cranking. You should have 12V from the battery to the solenoid, and you should have a ground strap from the block to the battery. That is all it needs to start.

i have all of those...the starter has both the thing that plugs in and the round thing that goes around the stud and a nut attaches to it....the engine is grounded also...i have 12.6 volts from the battery and 13.0 when jump starting....it doesnt make sense

The small gauge wire that plugs on - it should have battery voltage to it when you are cranking. It is what engages the starter solenoid. If there is no power, you get no crank. The stud from the + battery post should have battery voltage all the time.
