the down pipe mocked up...doing full 4'' the whole way back from the turbo with an open dump off the wastgate...down pipe is heat wraped in black as well now

Good call, that's hands down the best way to do it. I won't mess with that header wrap anymore. While you're at it though, do the down pipe and turbine housing. Trust me, makes a huge difference on bay temps. Awesome build btw, keep at it!

OMG! And some people run without BOV's! Their engines will surely explode!
Throttle plate closes, charge air bounces back, and immediately dumps out the BOV. Makes sense to me.

well, just a small update....have not been really doing much on the car lately...just needs a driveshaft, intercooler put on and fluids put in...BUT, im out of money lol....
sooo as i was saving for the rest to get done, i ran across a deal i couldnt pass up.... 19x10.5 and 19x9.5 NISMO Rays track wheels! they needed stripped and re powdercoated...i stripped them, still need to get them to powder coat tho

ahh, thanks, but i have them here in Pittsburgh...i am starting a small powdercoating operation here with my dad so i think im going to use these as one of my first jobs haha...

just ordered my drive shaft today!!! THE LAST PIECE I NEEDED TO BE DONE!!! they said its a one day turn around...soooooooooo im thinking the car should be moving by friday..hopefull some videos by next week sometime!
in the meantime, Tony moved Shifted Performance into a new shop! heres a few new pics

Sick stuff. What I do hate, is the ugly water neck routing on the jz motors. I would cut off the bend and weld a new piece going straight to the radiator. Of course you'll then have to modifie the radiator, but at least it will look a lot cleaner.
