I have 275/35 on my G35 10.5 rears, and that seems pretty stretched out - 265/35 on a 12 sounds like too much stretch - not for sure though.

Even people on ziptied are scared of 235/40 on an 11j. Show me a picture of this, because I have never heard of anybody running that. It's fucking pointless anyways, beadseats or not. Sure, mild stretch is good for response, a big stretch helps fit hard to fit wheel sizes, but 235 on 11 is just fucking stupid.

I'm aware that it would probably fit, but it would take a shitload of work to get them on, and whether or not they would stay on would be a gamble. I wouldn't DD that shit.

For the record, here is 265/35/18 on 18x12 (Matt's car). He says it takes TWO beadrings to mount these. So no, it's not EASY.

Edit: Cool more negative rep. 235/40 on an 11 is retarded for a daily driven car and you all know it. Keep it coming.

thoes sizes sound really hard to mount unless you get some goofy ass wide tires like wanlis or somthing. i couldnt get 2 different pairs of 265/35 to mount on my 12s. i would run like 255/35 and 285/30 on thoes wheel sizes. theyre 18s right

cooper zeon is one of the hardest tires to stretch. they have a stiffer sidewall than most. a lot of times a cheetah is needed to stretch coopers.

But what is the point of stretching the tires? I would think you would want a wider tire, more contact patch=more grip. I guess this could be different for drifting.

i wouldn't trust daily cars on more than 1-2 sizes smaller. You really dont need it. People run stretched tires for stiffness and sensative road feel. You only need these for race cars, not street cars. It dosn't even look attractive IMO.

what kind of tires do you guys recommend stretching ? i've gotta get some tires for my WORK MEISTER S1 3pc.18x9+10 and 18x10+5 So i was thinking about the Bridgestone Potenza RE0960 225/40/18 for my front and 245/40/18 for the rear. But i do think 245 on a 10 might be a lil too conservative? either Bridgestones or FALKEN azenis st615 i'd run 235/40/18 in the rear.. what do you guys think ? any inputs ?

haha...thats funny but anyways. Personally a good rule of thumb for a stretch is 20mm less than the width of the rim. So for a rim thats 10" wide, convert it to mm and you get roughly 255mm. Smallest id go is 235, 10mm stretch on each side of the rim. Then it also depends on the rim itself, some companies measure their rims differently and ultimately the size of the rim itself since that will dictate how much side wall you have (bigger rims have less sidewally naturally)
