The Weld S14 is (was?) indeed very impressive
specially if you ever seen it in person I was lucky enough to see it when it was parked at AutoBacs years ago bananas but now, in hindsight, I have to wonder just how successful it is/was seems to me now like it's just a showcase car of the company than a sound concept an attention getter in other words did it ever compete in anything? |

well the reason why I travel to Formula D events is because I shoot for MotorMavens. I just got back from Long Beach on Sunday. Check out the site we have parts 1 and 2 up.

Is the Weld car streetable?
i.e. built off a USDM chassis? $30k (probably obo) for that thing seems like a steal. I think it's RHD, but I don't know if it was converted or what. If it's got a JDM VIN, meh.

[/QUOTE] What part of Texas you from? Question how do you like the smaller battery compared to rewiring and relocating a bigger one to the trunk? I heard Problems with not enough amps and after a couple of days with out starting the car they die, do to many cold starts? Your Experiences? im building my SR and that sounds like a path i think i wanna go. |

I'm from Dallas man. It's not a smaller battery, its the stock size turned sideways. I was a little iffy on running a Civic or Miata one due to the same reason. and relocation seemed a little to much work for little gain. besides the Greddy VSPL kit told me to just turn the battery sideways lol. Another Note, I've rebuilt the SR and I still hate it, so I'm selling the SR in the car to a buddy of mine so i can finish my 500HP Ka. =D

Its not enough power and Tq for my taste. I've tried modding but still not good enough. Quote:
Oh Really? How so? I saw no gain or necessity in me moving my battery to the trunk so I chose not to do it. How does that in any way have anything to do with the way I build my motor? Unless you're joking then My B! -Tan
