ALSO - For rust removal, I used Napa Naval Jelly, Napa PN 765-1292 That and fine grit steel wool works excellent for surface rust, for more serious rust I have used copper/steel tires brushes (look like tooth brushes) and sanded with 400/800/1200 to remove the scratches from the brushes

Im assuming its light surface rust if its on your C/O's, hope that helps!
The Naval Jelly has a chrome warning on it, but maybe I can get away with it if I do it without long periods of exposure. Thanks for the tip.

i'm not sure it would be feasible to do this with your coilovers...but it seems to work like a charm. If you plan on taking apart and/or rebuilding them here would be an interesting method to try: http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.p...d+rust+removal

Do that and powdercoat the shock bodies. that would be sweet

I've used coca-cola and steel wool on a few surface rusted chrome chevy truck bumpers before. I don't know how well it will work on your coilovers but it's another possible option.
Sssssiiiiiicccckkkkkk build btw!!!

BS Update but it is what I have been doing.

I have puttered arond and completed absolutely nothing really, mainly because it is about time to get started on harder parts here soon, and it is taking sometime to think out and plan correctly. Meanwhile I just do the little shit until I figure it all out.

So here are the pics of work done in the past few days.
Rear Suspension was put up
Started assembling the body
Put the dash cross bar in (After much scrubbing and painting)
Coaed the Dash in Resin, sanded, coated, sanded and then coated it again. Hopefully it will be smooth enough soo to make a mold from it.
Oh and I wasted time painting my steering Rack a nice Silver with Black.
Figured out my headlight brackets so the damn things will sit straight as well.
Don't bust my balls for the rusty Toe Rod Bolts, they were temporary and have since been replaced with beautiful brand new ones from Nissan.

All of the bolts are clean. The toe rod bolts were completely replaced, The rest of them were sandblasted. They will all get powder coated in a few weeks. So uh , yeah I repeat don't bust my balls over rusty bolts because I took care of it. The biggest thing with a project like this is making sure that big box of bolts you have all ends up in the right place .

Thanks all for the input and support.

Why not weld a lower intercooler support? Seems like it would be nicer and more reliable than the stacked aluminum. O, and what are all the bungs for on the radiator?

That is 6061 Billet aluminum it is super reliable and the sandwiching idea works for stability and relaiability BUT the biggest advantage to it is the fact that it is removable. Now look at it closely and you will see that we cut pieces of metal to go with the Tension rod bracket surface area in order to attain a flat mounting spot. That is the primary reason for the sandwiching, Another point is the fact that the entire assembly is adjustable.

The bugns on the Radiator are for direct water feed from each turbine and two feeds from the Coolant Swirl pot that is part of the GT Head cooling modification outlined on the engine page at the beginning of this thread.
