i talked to the shop today. they were having issues with the air dam area (since it sinks so far into the molds). the sales manager had a talk with his staff on Monday and reassigned 2-3 people to work directly on my molds until they are finished. hes estimating another week or so *dies*

im planning on producing my own original valance designs very soon for both the hatch and coupe. i have to get the aero bumper project paid off (ive got about 2 months left to pay on it if i can keep things at the same pace they are now).

I stopped by the polyurethane shop to check on the status of the Aero Bumper today. The molds are still being worked on, but progress is being made. The foreman projected that I will have a prototype within the next week and a half to two weeks. Judging by the progress on the molds, Im fairly sure that WILL be a realty in said timeframe! I wasnt allowed to take any photos in the shop of the molds as its company policy that no photography can happen, but things are going the way they need to!

Also, one other HUGE project that will be occurring sometime within the next year or so is brand new S13 dashboards!

there should be hundreds of clean dashboards in parts cars in the northern states where there isnt as much heat. here in canada most of them are like new. I have 6 of them right now...

and the instant you put them into another chassis, especially one that is heavily misshapen, you will begin developing the famous "S" crack above the gauge cluster. i would like to give s-chassis owners the opportunity to purchase a dash board thats brand new at an affordable price... and not have to deal with the price tag nissan wants (which was $1400 + deliver costs last time i checked about 3 years ago).

not everyone wants used parts anymore. there are those of us who are slightly older that would prefer spending the money to slap a brand new dash into our car without having to haggle and bullshit with the younger crowd who "drift tax" the hell out of parts and who refuse to ship.

i cant number every unit i produce, doesnt really work like that boss.

though, there will be dorkidori branding on every bumper on the inside of the fender extensions. my logo will be embossed nice and large in the plastic so it will be easy to tell an OEM bumper apart from the bumpers im producing.

As with everything in custom production, things will always get delayed no matter what. Interested in seeing how these come out, so much more promising than the poorly fitting fiberglass knock offs that were around years ago.

the bumper is in glassing right now... which means the fiberglass is being overlaid to the front and rear of the bumper to create both sides of the molds.

please make sure to review the last few pages of the thread, ive answered the same question a million times (im not being a jerk, its just frustrating that no one is checking a few posts back). when the bumper is finished, there will be tons of photos posted and it will be kind of hard to miss the announcement.

vents are officially molded and prototyped! The flashing hadnt been cleaned out completely on both units yet, but the final pieces will look just like youd expect them! Just waiting on the bumper for test fitting! The OEM bumper is currently covered in fiberglass for molding, these will be test fit to it as soon as molding is complete to ensure OEM fitment!
