i would still highly recommend doing it tho...
i asked all of my buddies about their motors and they said it's the 1st thing the did when they put their shit back in...

What you guys are recommending is often a problem caused by dual row timing chains. The shims that you must install on the back of the pump, melling or not, causes misalignment with the oil pickup tube hole. Reverting back to the upgraded single row chain allows me to remove those shims and not have to machine the face of the pump. It'll fix the "scared" up oil relief passage walls which we believe is whats causing the sparatic pressure at times and also fix the oil pump pickup tube hole misalignment

its a stronger single timing chain, thicker than ls1 yet not dual row
