O2 Sensor SR20det same or not ?.Need help conforming information

Hello I wanted to confirm if the the skinny 02 sensors are Inter changeable with The FAT 02 sensors?

I read and been told yes, others have said No. does anyone have any experience interchanging a Skinny 02 sensor for a Fat with out any issues??

I?m running an SR20det (with a 62 ECU)

I?ve also researched and it appears that G20 Infinity and 200sx SE-R also use the Fat 02 sensor. Has anyone used the 02 on these cars successfully????

The fat and skinny sensors read differently, so you need to match up with whatever your ECU needs was what I can remember over the years.

However for the "fat" sensor, that one reads the same as US model engines, so S14 is a direct swap. Z32 and G20 sensors are technically the same, with just different lengths of harness. People like the Z32 one since the harness is a bit longer and you can move the connector over to the intake side instead of sitting right over the turbo manifold like stock.

Thanks you for the clarity, I?ll stick to a skinny 02 sensor, I?ve researched old threads and it appears that the 1986 z31 had a skinny 02 sensor. I would be good to if anyone has used the z31 02 sensor on a SR Reason being a if we can get these sensors for a lower price $60 vs. $120 (JDM tax) then why not save money.

You can walk into any parts store and price check O2 sensors until you find cheapest ($13 I've seen) one with the correct threads to fit your exhaust and it will work no matter where its from or how many wires.

as long as the signal wire is correct going into the ECU
