s14 power steering

Just wondered the ps racks in the s14 known to have problems in a stock car that has been taken care of? Another words is it know to be a fault in this car from factory? Parents hondas are over 10yrs and 17yrs old and they have not any leaks or any problems in them whatsoever.

I drove a 97 s14 for 9 years and never had a problem with the steering. Nothing wrong with my current 97 either and everything looks original.

Mine leaks from the p/s suction hose. Picked one from Nissan today for $30. I've heard power steering leaks are common in 240's. I was thinking of going with the ChaseBays p/s kit, but I've heard they leak. Not sure if they have made any revisions to the design throughout the years.

I've driven on the same one past 7 years with no issues and it's the original unit, until recently with some modifications I had problems... Guess the saying goes "if it ain't broke don't break it"
