Lol.
The front end, in my personal opinion, reminds me of this: with these double-headlight-things: Don't judge, it was at first glance. /:

i was working on a frontier the other day and noticed the fake rivets on the flares and it reminded me about this thing, so i think that if the nismo ever gets build they should be able to keep the rivets, contrary to what someone said earlier.
Then i was working on a murano the other day and noticed the instrument cluster and it also reminded me of this. So I dont see why they couldnt keep something near as cool as the concepts gauges, at least I though the muranos were pretty cool and sporty. Another thing Ive noticed is how cheeeeaaaaap nissan's building its cars lately, I mean this thing are cheeeeap as hell, the materials they use, inside and out, not to mention under the hood. You are working on them and u got to be really careful where you lean on them or you'll break half of the car and shlt. I think Ive seen more older nissans on better condition than newer ones...that bad. But that's normal nowadays on every maker i guess... But anyway, looking forward for a more production ready idx. |

I will conceded that their ENGINE technologies have set technology landmarks in the auto industry, but their looks department...not so much. Honda tends to follow, not lead... |

Lol Honda's looks have gone down since the 90s IMHO. But most modern vehicles are pretty ugly lol. I think once Honda passed his predecessor's did not do as well. Anyways I love Nissan too and to see some new badass vehicles from them in 2015++

I have driven every make and model of modern vehicles for the last decade (all years really) and Honda does a great job on their vehicles. Their aesthetics have gone down (opinion)...although the new accord looks real nice.
Back on topic though, have you guys driven the new infiniti M50? It says 3.7 on the fender but is designated as a m50 on the rear badge. Anyways, it is REALLY nice and I feel its a huge step up towards European competition in terms of handling and luxury (BMW). Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk |

I've never been a fan of the cockpit style consoles and dashboards.
I'd really prefer a modernization of the sort of thing you see in the nonHUD S13s. Simple and clean. With the sort of clusters they're able to put in cars now they could give you nearly everything you'd want all in the cluster and with a clean layout leave plenty of room for after market or OEM add on gauges. Give me an S2K tach with a OLED cluster beneath it.

Funny, before i purchased my fastback I was on the HUNT for a HUD coupe but I've never driven one. As for the cockpit style, the newer civics are so nice IMHO. Especially at night. So much information given to the driver in a very efficient way.
When people eliminate their dash vent for 3 gauges and angle them--that too is a style angled at "cockpitting" towards the driver. Yes I made that word up. I do agree that a manufacture should install more standardized gauges for people or leave room for aftermarket supports somehow. It seems like late 80s cars had all the bells and whistles installed and mid 90s or so the cool factor stopped. S2k tachs are the sh!t. I've seen them in other Hondas and done cleanly but i don't remember how. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk |

There were lots of interiors like that in the 90's. Drive-centric cars. I really wish they'd go back to that for performance cars.

i was always huge on the RX8 interior. If youve ever sat in or driven one, youll know how driver focused the car actually is. one of the biggest things i was impressed about with the car. now the non-existant bottom end torque is a different story....

I think the new corvette has that covered. But I think an interior as simple as the BRZ/FRS would be fine for the IDx. |

See those closed in cockpit style interiors make me feel claustrophobic, in either seat.
Put a proper dash on that with the screen made part of the cluster and I'd be more than happy with it.
