Adelaide is the cheapest city to live in. That's where me and SIL-014 are from. The bigger cities like Melbourne and Sydney are pretty expensive. Houses cost a fortune and parking in the city costs a lot.

Well you would want to live somewhere that suits your life style, If your into the beaches then QLD would be the place to be, BUT your looking at spending alot of money in Life Style since its very expensive.
NSW/Sydney - Pretty Ratty, its popular but its just 1 of them places between 2 good places. Melbourne - Best night life in Melbourne clubbing/bars, Pretty big with automotive, Not to expensive living for example im from melbourne and i live 20minutes from the CBD but housing is cheap here for rent you would be looking at $200ish for a 3bedroom house. I guess the best way to find your "place" in Australia is to do your research

Yeah if you enjoy clubbing and that the bigger cities like Melbourne and Sydney are better for that. Adelaide is much quieter. Brisbane is nice too if you love going to the beach. As anton1o said, it depends on your lifestyle. Most places you'll be able to find a 3 bedroom house to rent for $200-$250 per week.

Well yeah, melbourne is very easy to find rent for a full size house with even garage and all the bells and whistles for $250 a week, and being only a short drive from the CBD.

To any one not from australia, you will love it here. What our infrastructure and shit economy lacks, we make up for with laid back living, cheap rent/purchase as said. No 3rd world bullshit, perfect weather. With my family coming from Nam and france, they all agree that Australia is much better for politics and general living. They say 90% of Aussies live within 15-30 minutes to the beach, I dont doubt that statistic one bit. |
