well i have finally decided to buy myself a XBOX. I haven't had a gaming semester in 3 years and am really bored at home. The first games that I would like to get for the system will be a basketball and a football game. For basketball my two choices are NBA 2k3 and Live 2003. I heard that Live is actually better than 2k3 but I have always loved 2k3. And the football games are either Madden 2003 or NFL 2k3. It is kind of ironic that it is either sega or EA for the sport games. I was wondering if any of yall can give me any insight of what you think of these games and which ones will be better and if there are any basketball or football games that I didn't mention that might be better please enlighten me?

i dont have any basketball games coz im not that much of a basketball fans..
but i can tell you which football game is better! yay! (but its my opinion)
i like madden better than 2k3...
the gameplay is much more developed
i dont have an Xbox but i have a ps2
i tried playing madden on xbox over at bestbuy and it doesnt have much difference with the one on my ps2 (except xbox has a better graphics)

for sports games.. i always prefer EA sports than sega
EA sports' games is more developed and detailed
but then again.. its just my opinion
its up to you really

Hey man I work up at Gamestop over here, and while I haven't personally played either, I can tell you that Madden is definately more popular than NFL 2K3. Most co-workers and customers agree that the Madden series owns. More people ask for it and it sells out fast. The only reason NFL 2K3 even sells is because its cheaper.

On the basketball games tho, those sell about the same, although the majority seems to favor the EA Series over Sega.
