Here is a good reason why you shouldnt cheap out on roll bar/cages especially thinking about AutoPower ones.

The roof is flattened and the bottoms of the main hoop are through the floorboard.

I've never installed any sort of cage before, so maybe I am doing something wrong... but, how tall is the S13 pre-welded roll bar section supposed to be? Either I am going about getting it in the wrong way, or this thing is a couple of inches too tall. Am I supposed to have to trim it down to fit? Damn, I thought I was going to get it all tacked up at least today =/.

EDIT: I tried removing both seats completely and putting it in the other way before I measured the height of the bar around 44" and it looks like with some VERY heavy persuasion I only have about 42" to work with...

I received 6 flat 6"x6" plates for my 6 pt. bar... They are not bent to fit in 1 shot like mentioned. Just from looking at it I am definitely going to have to bend the plates for the rear strut towers at the very least.

EDIT:

Plates properly bent to fit in 1 shot. Before I read that first post again I was just planning on tacking these particular plates top and bottom then hammering in the sides to contour to the towers. Not a huge deal, but why advertise them as being pre-bent?:

Someone please tell me if I am doing something wrong here. Did anyone else have to cut theirs down to fit? Perhaps I have some oddball 240SX that has a shorter cabin...

I just got off the phone with Mazworx and I was told the plates ARE NOT supposed to be pre-bent like it is advertised in the original post. Also, the main hoop behind the seats is not supposed to fit in one shot like is advertised in the first post. It is left long so you can cut it how you want.

I RECEIVED NO REAL EXPLANATION WHY IT IS BEING ADVERTISED AS A ONE-SHOT INSTALL WITH NO FAB WORK INVOLVED!

Edit: Thanks for the original post edit AFTER I've already made the purchase... I felt like a criminal when I called and was told I was the first one who has ever complained about this... Good excuse to misadvertise a product. I have to be honest I kind of expected at least some sort of partial refund... I was told that S&W does not use DOM in their roll bars, and that is why they are cheaper (in addition to them not fitting as well, but I can't say if they fit well or not. I'm sure Mazworx cannot say either if they don't even know what tubing they use). After a quick google search I found S&W makes an 8 point bar with the exact same tubing (1 3/4" .120" DOM)... I'll let you guys search for that price...
