Why did you remove the whole dash? You disconnect the analog harness from the cluster. Then follow the harness to where there is another plug. Then disconnect the analog harness all together and remove. Now connect the digital harness with the correct side of the plugs to where you disconnected the other harness.

This is supposed to be plug play. I've done it twice with no problems. What are you doing wrong? Is the "analog" sub-harness still attached to the main harness?

Easy fix. Go to a parts yard. Find a 240 cut the two plugs off the harness (on the dash side). Match up the colors between your cut harness and the new pig tails conect, solder, heat shrink. Then it is again plug and play

does the tach and fuel and temp read fine? it may just be the digi brain part of it. ive had over 15 set ups in the past and not all have worked. i go to the j-yard frequently so when i see them i grab the main parts. i may have some parts for it still. dont know if any of it works though because i dont have my s13 anymore. i am into corollas now and actually have a oem digital cluster it that one.

here is a post of info i gathered back then that might be of some use to you.
