And you need to learn some reading comprehension. I didn't say they were the first ones here. I said the so called "native Americans" took the land from them. Which they did. So everyone can stop crying like they were the original owners of the land. They were not. What did I say that was an opinion? Please point it out. Also, your study talks mainly about central and south America having a culture and civilization before the Clovis people. Forgive me if I'm wrong but aren't we talking about North America, mainly the US?? If you dig deeper into the new findings it says that the Clovis people migrated across the Bering land bridge and spread south, and didn't come in contact with other inhabitants until deep into central America. Anthropology is a hobby of mine, I spend hours reading about all the new findings. There are studies out there that say aliens were here first. So I like to base my knowledge on more than one study finding similar conclusive data, rather than going off of one study, standing alone.

To reply to your tangent. You stated that the native americans were not the first ones (which they weren't) and then you stated that they in fact took it from the Clovis people. That can easily be interpreted that you were implying that the Clovis people were the first. If not, then I digress. As for your comment not being an opinion, a lot of science is opinion. For every "study" that proves one things you have another that disproves. There is no conclusive evidence as to who the original "group" of people to inhabit North America were.
