Thanks so much Kunio! I am glad you enjoyed it! I can't wait for the RYO guard, it will surely be in my next update ( hopefully along with some other cool stuff ).

MOTIVATED!!! That's what I want to hear! When you finish reading this you should immediately head to the garage to put in work!

Battles and VS-KF's are both 17x9.5 +15. Depending on the tire I may throw a 3mm slip-on behind them... I have some 18x10 +22 but as I get closer to the Earth they don't want to fit as well as the 9.5 +15. A hammer and some smaller tires for the front should fix this...

This is by far my favorite build thread, reminds me of my build except I have a hatch. Any chance of you posting a parts list of what's in your car as of now?? Thank you sir !

Thanks guys!

maces13 - The best 'part list' I have right now is the one posted up on Team Bushido's blog, but this is more of an 'upgrade list'. I have replaced almost all of the gaskets, bushings, and hardware as I worked my way through the car... but I didn't think people wanted to read about that haha. If you have any specific questions feel free to post them here or send me a PM!

Big thanks to the man Paul F. for that! He has a nice touch with the camera for sure.

No build update... but I did get a chance to go drifting!

I've missed the last few events because of work and weather. Felt good to be back in the car. It ran great from 10am-6pm. I had a blast!

I am running ~6.5 in the front and ~4.5 in the rear.

Thanks dude! The lip is just a Forcewerkz replica of the original OEM lip. You can purchase it from their website Forcewerkz Aero USA .

Finally, an update! I managed to gather up a few cool parts and had some free time to do a little work over the weekend. First things first, I've been wanting to install this R•Y•O fuel tank guard that I got from Kunio at GTR-Garage.

Packaged very nicely for the long trip over the pond...

Definitely a quality piece, just as I expected! I couldn't wait to get it on the car.

Got the old, nasty plastic guard off and out of the way...

... and the nice, new aluminum guard in place!

Next on the list was something I have been looking forward to for a very long time...

MAX pro knuckles! I have been driving on stock knuckles for almost two full seasons (15 events), and after banging on the bump stops a few times I could feel myself wanting more. These should be just what I need!

Old stuff out...

Tein S14 Tie Rod vs. MAX Tie Rod

Quick comparison of the old equipment and the new...

After a couple quick laps around the parking lot, I can already feel what a change the knuckles have made. I can't wait to get out on track and really see what they can do! I have just under a month until the last event of the season, and I'll have two full days to feel out the car and adjust my style to suit the new knuckles. Then it's back into the garage to get started on my winter project...

Thanks titopr06! I appreciate it! What a great time that event was. I have never gotten my car that dirty before! I will be cleaning mud out of this thing all winter.

This is a sick build. How much power are going to the rear wheels now? What can we expect in the future? I would like to see this get even more powerful.

Nice to see someone work on car with their dad.

Keep it up!

Thanks guys! I love working on the car with my dad, not only is it a good way to bring us together, but we make a pretty decent team for a bunch of 'shade-tree' mechanics. It also goes beyond just working on the car. My father got the drift bug just like I did. Ever since the first time he came out to an event he was hooked, and he has been a major help to me at every event since! He is always there at every event, ready to roll under the car at any given moment. He is such a big help behind the scenes, I couldn't be more thankful for everything he does. As far as power, no idea how much I am making right now... Just a stock SR on 10 pounds with basic bolt-ons. This winter I will be installing the Tomei M7960 that I scored locally (thanks again BoostinIX!!!). The plan is to run off the wastegate (~14-16 pounds) and see how the stock motor likes it. That should put me somewhere around the 300 horsepower mark, which is a reasonable jump from where I am at. While I learn to drift with that, I plan to rebuild the motor that gave up on me in July and have that ready for when I feel comfortable to take the next step up (or the other motor says 'fuck you!'). This will be my first time tackling any sort of serious power modification, and I would like to take it one step at a time and learn as I go. I am sure I will probably be able to have more fun with ~300 horsepower than my motor will be able to handle haha!

DEFINITELY subscribed to this. Loving the dedication you've put into it. I'm just getting back to my project (after she spent 3+ years in a storage unit), you've got me wanting to go home and put parts I haven't even received in the mail yet on her haha! Very legit, beautiful car, and massive thumbs up for home work. Keep it up brother!

Thanks guys! It's definitely been a long road, but everything is finally coming together and it was worth every second of it. It's amazing what a little hard work and some dedication can do! It's a strange feeling to look back at the early stages of the car and think about how far the car [and I] have come. I hope that this thread will motivate more people to chase your dream! I have no automotive background whatsoever, or any connections to the automotive industry. Just someone with a burning desire to bring their dream to life!

Great build. Finally a drift car built good and clean. Hate seeing damaged 240s held together with zip ties, duct tape and multiple color body panels.
