I wouldn't say "hard" exactly. Shit a lot of what I've done is my first time and I'm still learning. Making good and bad decisions along the way, learning from my mistakes.

I have you on FB? LOL, sorry dude, what's your name? I just sent out a mass invite for our media page. That's where I work, as lead graphic designer.

On a side note I picked up some unexpected goodies last night that will greatly reduce my costs and speed up my build.

I'll put other pictures later but here's the BC 264 cams I picked up for a steal.
They've got less than 50km on them.

Oh, and for arguments sake...I "placed" my buddies Precision turbo near my motor.

Thanks! You had a Type-X bumper and lip for sale didn't you? I think I remember looking through your thread contemplating it before I picked up my fiberglass one.

This weekend was productive. I got a chance to adjust some things on my new bottom end.

It's equipped with Mahle 86.5mm Pistons, Eagle Rods, ACL Bearings and ARP Main studs.
When reading up on the Mahle pistons I came across a few different threads talking about the skirt on the piston coming very close to the oil squirters.

The solution: Clock the oil squirters ever so slightly.

I had checked my pistons and they did infact come close enough to just barely touch. Maybe a hairline piece of contact. Either way, any contact wasn't good contact. So I took out my dremmel and made way with some adjustments. Fortunately I have quite a few oil squirters so If I messed up I wasn't too worried. I didn't mess up however.

Left is the adjusted squirter and right is the original.
It's actually very smooth in person. I forgot to clean off the aluminum shavings when I took the picture...looks ugly, but works.

And here's the block ready to start swapping parts onto it. I'll need to finish buying some parts for my head however. That's also getting a few internal upgrades before matting them together.

Finally, tonight I got my other motor ready to come out of the car. All it needs is to be hooked up and hoisted out. My push of motivation definitely came from getting my bottom end predicament together, as that was probably the biggest portion (money wise) for this years build. So that took some weight off my shoulders and very early into the off-season I might add.

Once the motor is out I can started re-mocking up where I want to run my harness. I wasn't very happy where I had put it when first doing all this. I'm probably going to route it similar to how I have it now, just on the drivers (RHD) side.

Also going to move my power steering resevoir maybe closer to the passenger headlight. The lines and res. really did get close to my previous turbo setup which always made me weary and made working on it even harder. With my new manifold being made, and a bigger turbo, that could only continue to cause problems. So for this years build that's on the list of major changes.

That's it for this weekend! The motor will come out sometime this week hopefully. And I believe we're picking up Kristians motor as well sometime. That is going to be one hell of a motor...

4 cars, 3 bikes and a whole lot of stuff lol.

New motor, meet old motor.

Pulled my motor out tonight with the help of Kristian and Roger.

Tear down of that one will progress through the week.

Been a few weeks since anything has really happend. I've been dealing with some non-car related issues so things slowed down for a little.

Everything is back on pace however and parts are starting to show up again.

The first half of my head parts showed up thanks to a member on here.

I also started re-wiring my interior and getting rid of a load of stuff I didn't originally.

And my entire turbo setup has been sold so I can now pickup what I want.
I'm looking at getting a Precision billet 5557 or 5558. Ball bearing would be key but if I can't find one for a good enough price I may just settle with the journal bearing. Either way it should make for some good numbers now that the head and block will both be able to support it.

Stay tuned!

Been slacking because I've been broke. The hanger bearing and u-joints went on my truck the other day and I got stranded so some saved up funds got taken over.

On the bright side I somehow got the wheels I've wanted for some time now.

SSR Vienna Kries - 18x9 +12, 18x10 +0
Converted to 3 piece and re-barrelled with brand new lips.

I should be picking them up by the end of the month.

Mainly I want to modify my own knuckles, move my steering rack 25mm and extend my S14 lowers. Fortunately I've been able to take in different accounts of Ackerman and adjustment info because of that thread.

However, if I had enough coin to pickup the same kit you're running...well, I would. That unfortunately isn't happening anytime soon though haha. Plus I want to modify mine strictly for the experience and knowledge.

You can only really know if something you've done works the way you want it until you screw it up a couple times haha.

I've been slacking a bit in the past couple weeks. I don't mind though, I've been enjoying winter.

Took a weekend off to head to Mt. Tremblant with some friends for a good snowboarding weekend. Picked my wheels up on the way home as well, since they were only about 30 min de-tour from us.

That saved me from having to drive 8 hours to pick them up another time.

Decided to "slightly" test fit the 10s on the rear. They fit great!
Will need to cut down my studs though for the center cap. I may end up going back to stock stud size with bolt ons anyways so we'll see.

Also, my home shop and great friends at Centerline Motosports have been up to some good works. They just got a powdercoating system so we've been messing around with all sorts of things.

One of them would have been this new coilpack cover my buddy Jordie made for me (Contact me for any details on having one made...they're $60 for his pre-made ones). He has some for RB20 and SR20. Other motors are currently in the works.

I was going to powder coat it, but after sand blasting it with some very fine sand I liked the finish so much I kept it as is.

I haven't been to Mt. Tremblant this year (funny since we got sooooo much snow, it would have been perfect!). Oh well... Oh and I noticed on FB that Centerline has started powdercoating items. I think I might take a valve cover over to get done...
