Looks like you are using 350z axles with adapters to the 2x3 stub shafts. I'm guessing they are the Maverick adapters? Have you had any issues using that setup? I tried the same adapters and axles on my coupe, after installing everything i drove it around the block to check that it all worked and both inner cv's failed and fell apart inside the adapters... So that was a no go and I went back to stock axles It seems like that the adapters having the centers machined out leaves nothing to hold the cv grease cap and internals in the cv so everything just popped out and broke.

Yes, I'm using the Maverick adapters with Nismo z33 axles

Interesting, perhaps bad axles? I haven't had a problem yet - the car however hasn't seen the track up to this point either.

I know specifically you can experience issues with these axles if you run negative camber, or don't have a wide enough rear track width to allow play in the joints with compression / rebound of the suspension (Why Maverick requires 0 camber on factory rear lca's). I am however running wisefab in the rear, which has widened my rear track to the point of fitting the axles great.

I will definitely post up if I begin experiencing issues.

They were good axles, and I was running 0 camber. I think the rear track actually needs to be widened a bit for them to work properly. So maybe you will be good with the wisefab rear.

Hey guys, got this thing out for a track day and a good shake down.

We ran into a couple issue with the car but I was still able to get a small feel for what this thing will be when it's 100%.

The main issues for the day were my accessory belt flying off every run due to the amount of torque the motor makes (Common JZ problem) and me not having a tensioner lock or anything else on the tensioner.

The other, more irritating issue was my boost control solenoid shitting out every now and again causing the car to spike boost and hit my overboost cut, which shut the cars revs to 4500 rpm and just dumped fuel - you can easily here when the car is doing this in the video, the whole tone of the motor will change under throttle, and places where I should be taking a high line I'll be taking a super shallow one

Anyways, enjoy!

Awesome! Works wonders, best thing I ever purchased for the 2j. My vvti though had to be revamped to do the tension pulley being a different style then non vvti. My year vvti had a nut to bolt style tension, where the xcessive is setup for the bolt style tension. Hopefully yours isnt like mine. If it is you will need to have Rich switch it up.

That's a good price. G-force South sells their rebuilts for more than that. Does RTS have a website?

Some testing from last week on the Evergreen Speedway 5/8th's bank.

First time hitting it, lines were pretty awful to start until I figured where I could throw the car and grip up before hitting the wall.
