I'm stuck my punch mark lines up with the oil hole but its not aligning according to my fsm its the opposite how do I get it to line up with out throwing off the punch marks?

what are earth are you talking about?? Are you saying you can't line the timing chain up or am I lost?

line the chain up, and put the pump on (don't forget that little o ring too). Too easy.

For reference:

Set it up like this:

Spin oil pump till it lines up the flat spots with the crnak drive, and them slam it home

No its a ka24e the oil pump goes through the bottom straight across to the distributor but according to my fsm the half moon oil pump shaft should be aligned with the block. But mines opposite. But my punch mark on the oil pump shaft is lined up with the oil hole so I'm confused. Sorry if I'm confusing anyone too
