Awesome thread, but I dont think people should be posting up pics of tires narrower than a 255 series. Especially in the rears! Post up rear end shots showing how wide your actual contact patch is-

Let 235/245 be the absolute minimum It's okay, like 235 rt615 are wider than most 235 for example... so its alright but this thread should be for 245+ folks It's okay I am quite happy with the postings so far It should encourage more people

YOUR CHASSIS: S14
WHEELS: gay-zigen fn's / 17x9 +15 TIRES: ST115 245/40/17 T1R 245/40/17 MISC DETAILS: Camber -3F -2.75R Toe 0F .25R Caster 7F rma8 8/7 kg/mm tucking tire slightly stock fenders rolled banged out wheel well slightly PURPOSE OF CAR: autox. buying groceries. picking up grand ma PICTURES: sorry. car is ugly anyway. lol NOTES: rear wheel is a def sunk, but the tire is right up against the fender. to go wider would prob require changing something up. front could probably go wider. i went from 225/40 to 245/40 and i feel theres still a bit room for more without changing anything. edit: nvm what i said about the rear. i checked today and there is tons of room for more. i could jam my index finger in there no problem. at least 1-1.5 inches more clearance available. |

People:
Please keep in mind that this thread is about maximum rubber and wheel fitment. It is NOT a picture thread for your tame rubber on small wheels. It is not a "post a picture of your soon-to-be wheel setup next to your car." We don't care about your drag radials or your R-compounds unless they're on the car. Fitment doesn't matter if the wheel/tire isn't actually mounted to the car. Everyone and their mother has fit a 225 under stock fenders, it's nothing new. Let's keep this thread as unadulterated as possible. |

18x10.5 +15 with 265/35/18s front and rear... spacers to clear coils in front. Rolled fenders to the max with a slight flare. (I should try 285/30/18s too, it looks champ. I'd need craploads of camber) 265/35/18 on a 9 in the front and 295/30/18 on a 10 in the rear... this car is dead now, but it was my first wide s14 project I did for a friend. Someone needs to edit out anything with less than a 255 tire on a 9 inch wide wheel then make it a sticky. Last edited by Gumballf355; 12-01-2007 at 10:14 PM.. |

WHEELS: Enkei 17x8 TIRES: RT-615 F: 235/40 R: 255/40 PURPOSE OF CAR: street/track Going to 17x9s and R-Comps soon. Yes the 255 did fit on the 8 inch wheel + buldge. I love buldge Once they are hot enough with 30 psi in them they will barely hold a 400whp exit acceleration in a 2nd gear turn. But still this is the best traction Ive had so far, on linear acceleration or exit, better than hankook rs-2 and ecstas. PICTURES: and for fun my busy ass engine bay

Wow, does this thread need to exist?
http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=129865 I am on that thin line between "objective" and "subjective," so I will close this off now, since there is already a thread sticky in this very section, containing information sought in this thread. *MOD AIM CONFERENCE* You're safe, I apologize and +rep |

This Thread was created to seek out Non-Stretched Tires and Non-Excessive Camber.
Thread starter was told he could have the Thread if he played nice with the Pro-Stretched Tire crowd, and reported any problems without fights here. As long as that is happening, I see no problem leaving it open, PHLIP.
