HKS Hi-Power or Buddy Club exhaust???

Alright guys, I'm going to be ordering and exhaust this weekend. I am stuck between buddy club pro spec, buddy club spec 3, or hks hi power catbacks. What do you like/ prefer. Pros/cons. Thanks!

are you getting the 3" hks? or 2.5"?

I have the 2.5" hks hi power and I love it to death. Nice tone but not to loud and no drone on the highway with it.

What car is this for? Do they even have BC Spec III for the S13/S14?

Anyway, if you're N/A, stick to an exhaust system that is 2.5". 3" isn't necessary unless you've got boost. But since this is your car, I would go with HKS. They aren't notorious for being obnoxiously loud like BC is. Can't stand it when my friends drive their cars.

I've experienced both, personally I like the buddy club better, has a nice deep tone.
Although if noise is a problem the HKS Hi-Power is much more quiet.

BC exhausts are loud so I don't know what the cops are like in your area...Still they are great quality for the money.

I have the HKS on my s14 KA and I LOVE it! Its nice and deep and doesnt rasp at high RPM's like a lot of other exhaust *cough*apexi*cough* Plus it stays nice and quiet at idle and doesnt kill your ears on the highway.

I have a BC spec 3 for my s13 and its very loud but extremely deep and aggressive. Also the whole catback only weighs like 16 pounds.

I had a Hi-Power on my first SR. No cat, 3" piping from the turbine elbow to the Hi-Power catback. Looks ricey as hell but it's pretty quiet. Paint it black and be happy.

I have the 4" tip with 3 " piping HKS Hi-power. Love the exhaust but the only downside is that it hangs sooo low. Just get HKS tip and make your own piping if you ride low.

I bought a cheap $120 exhaust. Sounds awesome and I don't care if it gets rocked when I slam my car.

exhaust

I've used alot of exhausts on my car: Greddy,Fujitsubo,HKS legal,... When I bought the Japanese 85mm piping HKS Hi power silent. It doesn't have holes to fit the silencer like the ones they make her. The exhaust also has a different color. It's like a dark green powder coat. I can't stop smiling when I'm in my car. It's just perfect. It hugs the bottom of the car, the sound is nice and deep. It's not too loud like the Buddy Club, but it means business; especially, when you step on the gas. I get off my driveway sideway; the lip scrapes and other things, but not the exhaust. Unless I go out straight.

Ugly shiny can that stuck out at an angle. It was the only exhaust I could get at the time because of that dock workers strike in like 2003. 5" tips aren't necessary on a 2.0L car, turbo or not.

all comes down to sound. BC is going to be a lot louder then the HKS. even with a canister and resonator. i love the raw tone on the BC exhaust though.

but then again im not a fan of the huge canisters. i like the smaller ones that Jic use.

5"? wtf kinda hks did u have. arent all the 3" hi powers with a 4inch tip?

and honestly, i think that a 240 would look goofy with a smaller tip, unless its dual

Wrong. It's 85mm piping with 120mm tip. Nasty.
