I know there is nightshades for taillights but I don't think that is what you are looking for...pretty sure AutoZone, Ebay, Pep Boys would have your rice tint.

Its meant for race cars so headlights don't crack from rocks. My friend has some yellow film thats really thick, not much change in light output, but protects the headlight quite well.

Why don't you just polish/buff your headlights?

[Theoretical situation] tired average joe driver is heading back from his night shift at work, on a 2 lane highway up ahead he sees some red lights and figures, "oh, I must be in the wrong lane" *head on collision* Darwin has killed you for being a dumbass, but you also just killed some poor innocent person [/Theoretical situation] You can be a ricer all you want, I personally don't car what mods you do to your car for mad JDM tyte illegal street drifting, but red headlights are just plain fucking stupid for a car that ever sees the street. -Matt

ive tried the polish buffing stuff, it works for like a month and then it just fogs back up. i was thinking that if i polished them up real nice and then put the headlight tint on right after, it wouldnt oxidize the lens (or whatever that happens to make the headlights ugly)
rennen - seriously, use your brain for a second. are you dumb? a tint with like 95% transparency does not change the light output. im not gonna put brake lights for my headlights dude. heres a test for you. go get a flash light, and go get a piece of blue saran wrap. put the blue saran wrap in front of the flash light. turn on the flash light. HOLY SHIT? wow look at that. it dosent change the color of the bulb because it is too luminous to be affected by some .5mm film with like almost no pigment in it! thats amazing! go drag race into a wall or somthing. everyone else thanks for the useful information. |

i doubt anyone makes those headlight tints in anything but yellow, blue, or smoke. if you wanted pink/purple/red just go to any autozone-like store and buy that tint. i'd stay away from red tint unless you wanted even more hassle from police.

you can get transparent spray paint or stainglass paint at your local hobby or craft store. I couldn't find any "smoke" color though.. damn

Wel, the most important issue probably isn't the minimal amount of light that it'll steal (unless you smoke them or something), it's the fact that you will be changing the color temperature. Just don't get blue, or a color similar to it...Blue glares bad and actualy fatigues your eyes...
As for yellow, there's a good reason you see them on JGTC and Le Mans cars, they are the best color for inclement weather and causes little glare. I want to do it to my car, but my car is too mild at the moment to pull that shit off... |

just sand your headlights, they turn out alot better, and they last quite awhile, resand them once every half a year and you should be fine... show us a picture of your headlights now and I'll give you an honest reply if the way I clean my headlights will work on yours, only if you promise to take that stick out of your ass though
