The huge piece of metal between motor mounts that has the steering rack attached to it,

yes it started to bend when I attempted to jack up my car from the center. Remember I am using a 650lbs Iron V8

It only bent a little tiny bit because I was paying close attention. But it def will not support the weight of my vehicle.

I want to switch to -120lbs aluminum block but the current engine won't quit. Its hard to remove a good engine.

Well, they make an aluminum version, -120lbs which makes the car similar to stock weight and balance. Actually it could be better than stock, or more similar to SR weight.

I was just being cheap student and used the iron engine to save money since it was my first LS I figured I would learn on a free test engine. But I guess between the iron block and the 4l80e its just a bit too much up there. I am def looking to plate the engine to the chassis using a stiff damper and reinforcing the core support and control arms and frame rails, and tunnel regardless of weight however because once I put some real tires I don't want the chassis to twist, I'm not sure how much it takes but I don't want to find out

Personally i only use the tow hitch points as a starting point to lift the car a bit with a 2nd jack since the car is so low and then jack the car up using proper locations
