Using BMW Wheels

Hey, long story short I can acquire a sweet set of 17” Rondell wheels. I would like to use them on my s14 se but the Bolt Pattern is 5 X 120 is there anyway I can use them, will they work aand what problem will I encounter if I use these wheels.
I can choses from 2 sets of wheels one set is 17X8.5 all around and the other set is 17X8.5 17X10. Thanks

You can get a wheel adapter, i fergot what those are called. but there was a thread not to long ago that some one want to use e39(5 series) wheels.

Does BMW still use lug bolts? Or have they converted all of their cars to studs now?

Yeah, those are the Rondell #72's....made by Hamann. You can get them on ebay for like $800 + shipping for a set. Also....you can buy replacement wheel center caps shown below...so you dont have to sport the Beamer logo.

how good are those things? i love bimmer wheels and id like to get some, but how well do those spacer/adapters work? do i have to worry about them breaking or anything when i autocross/track my car?

Doesnt matter...the 1" that the spacer adds is going to make those offsets effectively equal -10 or something and that wont work.

why wouldnt it work? theres people on here with wide wheels and low offsets, it might take some parts/work, but pretty much anything can fit.

They'd work just as well as any bolt on spacer that goes from 5x114.3 to 5x114.3, except the would go from 5x120 to 5x114.3, meaning the holes on the spacer would be slightly further out of center than the lugs would be. It's not like these go from 5x120 to 4x114.3 and an entire bolt wouldnt be used. H&R sells "Porsche wheel adapters" that do the same thing......and are almost $200 a pair. I know the H&R's have a hubcentric ring, and I doubt these do...but they still would work assuming you installed them correctly.

offset is what matters most. if they have a big positive offset, then there's no problem pushing them out and custom maching some wheel adaptors to do the trick.

HOWEVER, if the offset is too low, then there is no way they will fit because they will already be flush or sticking out, so the wheel adaptor will push it even FURTHER outwards. Wheel adaptors minimum thickness is somewhere around 20mm.. thats a fucking THICK adaptor.

damn those are some dope ass wheels though. I was thinking of trying to find some mesh wheels off a 5 series at the junk yard this summer.

I was told that the offset is front 15mm rear 20mm, hmm so they wont work without wide fenders?

BMW's are RWD so of course they will have a RWD off-set...

and they are prety wide as well at 8.5...

if they were the right bolt pattern they would be wicked, but you are going to have to spend another $300 or so on good wheel adapters, and even then you will have rubbing, especially if you put a serious tire on there..

I u reaallly want to use them that bad why not have them redrilled? I've had this done before on steelies not too sure on those wheels if I would work/be safe, the pictures don't work for me.
