This, just set it in there and start cutting until it clears and fits. Not much to tell you on this.

I get that dude... There's different ways about doing this, I'm just trying to see how ppl are doing there's. Best case scenario, this topic gets searched or googled and also helps someone else figure out what different ways there are about cutting there dashes. I did put the dash up to the car yesterday and the ways I think work is just a lot of cutting to me, I've seen pics of dashes were the cuts look minimal so not much of the dash is cut off but you got dick heads like this guy above giving stupid responses, it's a simple question, you either got a pic or you don't

I would use a box cutter or razor knife to precisely cut the vinyl layer. Then it doesn't really matter for the foam underneath because it wont show. I'm sure using a sawzall is a brilliant idea...

Find a cracked or crappy dash, and just start cutting, get it bolted in and then do a paper template around where the holes are, cut the holes and then remove just enough material so the bar sits flush with the holes in the dash. Best and cleanest method of getting the cage to look pro. Cut straight back from the holes to the front of the windsheild area.

this is one of those things that if you honestly can't figure out yourself, then you really need to consider finding a new hobby....

ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer. this forum is a tool, and every additional useless thread makes it a less useful one, with more bullshit to wade through.

are you referring where to cut? or how to cut... where to cut imo is a much more relevant question since its better to just cut one perfect hole... theres an interior thread, check it out.
