While this is an interesting idea, one would have to find a properly sized rotor to match. The stock rotors attach to a hub which is seperate from the spindle, etc It may well be possible, as long as the caliper mounting bolts are the same. Overall, there probably would not be a whole helluva lot of advantage to this.
The specs for the rotors, etc are all online, so if you can pull it off, more power to you. edit: QX4 = Pathfinder. These brakes are also found on the Xterra and some Frontiers. FWIW, the Z32 route tends to be the way to go, simply because all parts (provided you get the right parts) bolt up, and you can bolt-in a fully stock braking system designed to stop a car up to 5-600 lbs heavier. Same goes for the Z33 Brembos. I'll get those one day. Last edited by mrmephistopheles; 01-19-2003 at 09:05 PM.. |

I heard that the Q45 brakes are another alternative.
But I want the 350Z or R34 brakes....I believe they are the same.

Are the QX4 (GOD I HATE THAT NAME) calipers the same as the Maxima two piston calipers which are allegedly the same as the s13 JDM calipers?
Freakin' Q by 4 - like 2 x 4, but stoopider! What an insult to the Q45 name. What a stupid pun. It's not a Q! Jeezus H. Christowitz. No wonder they almost went belly up -- with genius marketing like that... (I could go on, but I'll spare you) |
