Ok, first question......is it "ricey" to get the S13 silvia font end conversion...and yet keep the KA and turbo it?  My intent is not to build a true "Silvia"...but rather to put on a front end that I feel is very classy looking.

Second question, I've recently seen that pic of the red S13 hatchback with the black roof...and I think that look is sweet.  How much do you think a reputable body shop would charge to paint it black for me (including multiple coats..and clearcoat, etc..)..basically to have it done right.

thanks,

m

The only time I would ever be worried about rice is with badges, stickers (unless sponsored of course), HUGE wing's, and putting lights in every possible location. Other than that, do whatever the heck you want. hell, even if you feel like doing one of the things listed above, no-one really has the right to stop you, but in answer to your question: the sil-80 mod (i'm guessing you have a fastback, they're the most common) is considered to be a very classy conversion. It looks great all around.

My friend has a KA-powered Silvia.  So does Whacked.  I don't see anything wrong with having the conversion.  It's kinda like saying that people with the stock DY16 engines can't have Civic Type R headlights just because they don't sport the CTR engine or people with Impreza 2.5 RS's can't put WRX STi wings on their cars even though their vehicles are obviously naturally aspirated and not equipped with the EJ20 turbo engine. If you like it, go for it.  The Silvia front end was meant for your car right?  At least you're not cross breeding car manufacturers.

"If you like it, go for it."

Amen to that. &nbsp; <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''>
