CA18det vs. SR20DET vs. KA24DET

just wondering what you all thought about the CA18, SR20 & KA24's trying to help a friend figure out what would be better for her....

i'm saying turbo KA.... but that's just cus i've been bitten by the torque bug

stock motor for stock motor, the sr is the best, but if you are gonna build a motor from the bottom up, i think the ka is better for the following reasons,

better head, bigger ports and the same valvetrain that comes on motor cycles,

iron block, one piece main girdle

2.4l

drawbacks are the rods are 6.5" long and heavy and the cam profiles you can buy are limited i think.

from what ive heard. the sr has the better flowing head.

no sir.. I believe a couple of the guys on FA flow benched both, and the KA was better.

Anyways. This has been beat to death in the past. Unless you have a specific question about one of the engines. don't post anymore
