What all do you need to do to prep the car to be stored? I've got a nice garage just waiting for it

Actually I was planning on taking out the battery and putting a tender on it. I think you've gotta fill the tank up and put some stabalizer in, and a few other things too...

what i do is leave about 1 gallon in the tank unhook the battey and go out every month and let it idle for about 15 min you dont have to do that but if you dont put the stablizer in you do
i also take the tiers off and put the car on blocks (make shure that the ground is level and that the car is also level you could twist the fram over the winter
and in the spring run a fuel add. to a full tank of 93 octain and change and check all the major fluids
well that is what i do for the winter

Umm, I've always been told that you should leave the tank full so that no moisture gets in there.

btw, why put the car on blocks? To keep the tires balanced?

I've got my eyes on a subi GL at the moment, 4wd. With good reason around here in the winter

Hmm, I park my car in the driveway all winter, start it up about every day, and drive it to work and back, and anywhere else I need to be I do have that "snow" issue, but it never sticks more than a couple days (y'know, a foot on Monday, 70 degrees n blue skies on Thursday sorta thing). My DoT doesn't lay salt on the roads, just dirt, so as long as I wash every month or so, I'm golden :-)
