This guy did everything wrong from what I have read, which is all I have to go off of. Not sure why all you people are 'white-knighting' for this kid. He went out with improper basic safety measures, not to mention the shoes. WTF, this guy is dickbag. Simple as fuck.

What if you popped two holes in the chassis, stuck the J hooks up from the bottom.
I digress.

We actually swapped over his entire rear end. I had Costco pizza for lunch. Fresh strawberries for a snack. Took a shit at 3:16PM. Ate pie for dessert. Took another shit due to lactose intolerance. Sneezed 35 times. Took some allergy meds. Anything else you want to know about my day?

Id have to agree that his battery tie down was pretty pathetic. Theres a reason why racing associations like the NHRA require battery boxes like Taylor to secure the battery down. All metal, m8 hardware, no j hooks. Drift events should really start mandating that considering the intense lateral forces the batteries experience in the trunk when the car is drifting..or crashing.
Still sucks what happened. |

its impossible he was too busy ragging on other people's cars, deeming them unworthy to be on the same track as him on Super Rad Drifty Friends to properly build his own car.

i mean... my battery would probably eject itself too if my wheel impacted the bottom of my trunk with as much force as his did.
you're all acting like your car is impervious to freak accidents.

Metal J-hooks ripping through 2mm of plastic is hardly a freak accident. And yes, it is: Sent from my iPhone

i'd bet 20 year old sheet metal and shitty summit racing j-hooks would result in a similar outcome. you should go out and test it in your car.
