Hotshots are pretty popular, definitely. How many miles are on your KA motor? Do you think it can handle the NOS?

personally i like greddy but hot shot aint bad. i would do nos till you at least get forged pistons. it will wear it away faster. other than nos everything else seems good

I seriously doubt you'll need to work with internals. adding 80hps w/ NO2 ain't gonna put enough strain to justify spending $800 in parts and labor for piston swap. ZEX is a reliable company, and I'm sure they tuned the fuel/air mixture to run safe... it's not like you gonna be laughing it all the time. make sure you stay with 91 octane just to be on the safe side.

Greddy header is excellent. however, Hotshot just redesigned their hearder. they fixed the little problem on the second cylinder connection, now I think they're rectangular tubing throughout until all the pipings join, so no more fitment and cracking issues supposedly. they're similar prices, however, Greddy is CARB legal if you care about that.

all this is going to set you back around $1000-1300, but you should see the good end of 80hps-90hps. that should easily bump you into the mid to high 13's on a 1/4mile.

your car should be ok with ZEX, but personally I would go with NOS. It'll give you alot more power. But if you spray too much you could end up screwing yourself and your engine.

peace

yes it helps alot. if your engine is old it restores compression and if theyre forged they can handle more stress. also if you plan to run n/a higher compression pistons give you a hp boost. problem is you gotta run on 91+ octane so you wont hear knock
