I thought I was going to be forced to upgrade sooner. Went on a trip came back, saw clocks with 0:00 time. Ok so power musta went out. Try to turn on pc, nothing. turn psu off and on. still nothing.

Do some googling, unplug psu cable, hold power button, plub back in, pc turns on. Start repair start up, that fails, will not boot. Look at a restore point, the restore point does not include my boot drive.

Look at the boot order, see it is trying to boot from wrong drive. Select correct one, still wont boot.

Go into bios, see everying has been reset. My OC is done, XMP is not loaded. Go to boot menu see boot drive is #3 on the list. Disable everything but that. Finally get it into windows.

Almost had a heart attack.

Ohh that makes me excited for AM5. I promised myself no more waiting this year. I am either going with Raptor Lake or the Ryzen 7000 series with a RTX 4000 series or Radeon 7000.

I don't know what to do with the 4790k/1080ti build.

any suggestions? it is in a fractal R4 case so bit big for a living room pc.

Yooo get rid of that thing, jesus. When I went from that to a G502, it was a huge performance increase in accuracy (improved laser) and the 502 is old as helll aready! The newer lightspeed has an improved laser over the 502.

7000 series and a rtx4000 would kick ass. As for your old pc, it's hard to say... maybe you could host zilvia? lol

I have another old build a 4590 with an rx 4704gb. so with a new build will make three gaming pc's........ I also have a 4690K that was 4.5ghz stable almost its entire life.

Vs the 3090ti yes it makes sense. However consider we are knocking on the door of 4000 series Nvidia and 7000 series AMD perhaps waiting would be best.

It will be interesting to see how it comes out. I don't plan on upgrading the 7800x3d for a while but knowing that with a bios update my board will support it.

Speaking of my build it is 90% done. My dubmass spent TWO HOURS trouble shooting it trying to figure out why I could not get a post.

After damn near giving up, I was looking at the mobo manual and realized I fucking forgot to plug in the cpu cables. Plugged the in, fired right up. FML

Right now IM trying to call in those who owe me money so I can use that to fund a 7900xtx. Hell if everyone paid me back I could get a 4090.

Bro I've been afraid to boot my system for days now. I am on a beta bios from Asus that they released on 4/25 that limits the voltage to 1.3v.

I will be posting the build pics soon.

This thing is a beast.
