see what happens when melo doesn't ball hog and shoot constantly and miss? only scores 1 point and Knicks blow out a shitty team like they are supposed to.
Now the only bad thing is he fucked up my fantasy team in points, but I guess the 11 boards make up for them. Yay for J. Lin playing in garbage time and showing off what he can do...draw fouls lol. |

melo 0-7 fg % tonight. i didn't watch the game, but adding up the box score, it was 73-57 knicks after 3 quarters.
probably good that the game was decided, if it was a closer game and Melo went 3-21 the knicks probably would have lost. lol. |

Shannon Brown has to feel foolish right now, playing losing ball on a Phoenix team that NO ONE is talking about, when he could be the combo guard that'd make the Lakers better...
Kinda like Farmar leaving to go to the Nets for a bigger role, only to be made unimportant when Deron Williams arrived. Speaking of Williams, he STILL hasn't extended with the Nets, and this could work for the Lakers. Dear Lakers, please... Step 1 – FIRE MIKE BROWN!!! 2 – Hire Brian Shaw for the position he was being groomed for anyway 3 – forget the Dwight Howard talk, Andrew Bynum is more than serviceable at the position 4 – package up whatever combination of expiring contracts, draft picks, that attractive $14million trade exception and young(ish) talent you can afford to unass and go after Deron Williams instead. The only “safe” people on the team should be Kobe and Bynum. 5 – ??? 6 – profit! |

The Heat have looked horrible these past 3 games. They keep playing down to the teams they are facing. Here is hoping they down play down to the Knicks on Friday...

Whats worse for Orlando. For Dwight to be there during the All-Star weekend or to trade him beforehand?
Either way it would be all they would talk about, right?

I mean...they did sign Novak to be a 3 pt specialist right?? Why aren't they playing him more often then? I'm actually looking forward to the Knicks/Heat game with the Knicks crappy "big 3". Since the last Knicks' "Big 3" with Billups barely got the W, let's see how Chandler is. |

He didn't really do much scoring wise in this game, but he helped out a lot. That was also a really great game. I wouldn't doubt that the Clippers are going to go further than the Lakers this year.

The Lakers have an obvious need at the pg position and for another perimeter scorer to legitimately back up kobe, but they have pretty decent depth elsewhere. I think there biggest issue is learning their new system and everyone's role in it. Will they contend for a title? I HIGHLY doubt it, but i think they're a better TEAM than the clippers for sure. |

Non-surprise of the week, I bet NONE of the former Clippers will re-sign with the Hornets, and will likely seek alternate arrangements.
Eric Gordon reportedly rejects New Orleans Hornets extension offer 012512 - NBA News | FOX Sports on MSN Not a PG, but definitely qualifies as "perimeter scorer," maybe he would like to come to the LA Varsity team? I wouldn't mind him |

On another note, the Heat yet again played down to their opponent. This should have been a blowout but they didn't defend the 3 and let NY stay in it. Gotta love the Heat fans at the AAA chanting "NEW YORK SUCKS". Fun game to watch overall, much better ending then just killing them outright but the Heat better be ready for Sunday because they are going to play the Reg-season champ Bulls... |

We chant this at every NY/Miami sporting event, seriously. It was more for the transplants in the arena, trust me, we despise them.

Am I the only one who thinks the Orlando Magic are in DEEEEEEEEEEEP shit right now?
There was the 56-point stinker, then followed by blowing a 27-point lead to lose, then losing AGAIN with a 67-point total score... Then Dwight calls them out. If they were trying to keep the guy, they're failing miserably. They should offer him up in a trade soon |

I complete agree with Howard for ripping into them. As the leader and face of the franchise (for now anyway) it should be him to say it.
I ALSO think Bruce Bowen is a total bitch for saying how Dwight calling out his team like that was the wrong thing to do. Bull shit it was. They've given ZERO effort and the only person who would be given a pass for not playing hard IS actually playing hard. They're grown men and they're playing like shit and someone needed to step up and say something. Who better than the best person on the team. No need to sugarcoat it for them, Bowen. GTFOutta here with that nonsense. |

You also need to look at it from the standpoint of Dwight's teammates. The general mood amongst them is that Dwight is likely to be leaving, so maybe thats why they dont play with as much enthusiasm for their "leader".
