So i have a 93 240 with a redtop and a walbro. The fuel pump wont prime at all. I have checked the fuse and the relay both are in the workign order. Ive changed the pump to another walbro and that didnt solve the problem. My best guess is taht it is not getting any power the same tiem the flaoter gets power and shows gas level as usual. I ve searched through the forum, but havent got any definete answer to this. Any inpup will he helpful.

p.s. any thoughts about wiring the pump straight to the ignition with a relay and a switch as a solution or no?

I had an issue just like this and it was that the hanger rivet was not making contact on the inside by the pump. I Changed the hanger and was good. Check for resistance by the plug and by the pump end with a multimeter to make sure, before you buy anything.
Dont wire it straight up, figure out the problem then fix it.
